Greetings! I am a Cadillac enthusiast, and I purchased this vehicle from its original owner. The car has not been registered since 2009, and has been sitting in a barn since that time. The car starts and runs but needs work. The car has surface rust, and the paint is chipping and faded in certain areas, as can be seen in the pictures. The stainless steel roof still looks good, as do the chrome bumpers. The car has its original GM mud flaps. The Biarritz was oiled regularly, so the undercarriage and frame are not all rusted, as is the case with most older New England vehicles. (You can see the caps in the frame where the car was oiled.) The tires are all relatively new, as is the battery, gas tank, and exhaust. The car has its original GM mud flaps! On the interior, the leather is in beautiful shape and is still very comfortable. The original floor mats and carpeting could use a good cleaning, and the headliner is coming down, but it's all there. The car starts up and runs, but is not strong. I had started it last fall at the original owner's house, and it purred like a kitten. If you put the car in gear and hit the gas, it will hesitate unless you pump the gas just the right way. The caretaker said that it was fine until he rain it out of gas one day. My mechanic looked things over and said that the motor will need some work, as well as the brakes and cables from sitting. The air shocks seem to be working, but the light comes on. The gas gauge is not working. I start the car and drive it up and down the road, but it will need some work to make it roadworthy again. It was tuned up in 2003, and I have service records and the manual for this vehicle. Feel free to send along any questions you might have.
