Vehicle Detail
This car has been driven all across the USA and has some wear to show for it. A deer hit the car while it was in Montana and dented both the driver and passenger side rear quarter panels and broke off the original radio mast. I replace the mast with what was specified but it never has fully retracted but it still works. See photos for pictures of the mast and the damage on both sides from the deer. Another incident involved a very dark and wet pine tree that had fallen across power lines and was pointing out into the roadway at night on my way home from work. I almost avoided the tree but did destroy the right front headlight, cornering light and split the steel on the front fender along with a nice scratch/crease the length of the passenger side of the car. Pictures of all the damage are posted. The car still runs great and starts right up. Up until a few weeks ago I drove it to work everyday. It needs new CV joints and that is what has finally helped me decide to part with the car. If you install new CV joints it could run quite a while still. The joints make the ticking noise when the wheel is turned sharply but the car runs great and I drive it periodically to keep everything lubed. The cassette player does not like to play cassettes but the radio works great. The exhaust system was changed about a year ago and is in good shape. The fenders and doors have scrapes and dents from the deer and the tree and they also are pitted down by the wheels from rocks and lots of miles in Montana. The windshield is cracked in several spots - that is a normal thing for cars in Montana so I just got used to it instead of replacing the windshield every other year. The car is very quiet and flies like a plane on wheels. I use the cruise a lot avoid speeding tickets. Keyless entry works well. Sunroof/Moonroof works well Hatchback rear entry. If you have questions don't hesitate to contact me and I will post answers so all can benefit. I really hate to get rid of this car but we just don't need it and I don't really want my 16 year old son driving a rocket for his first car even though Saabs have a great safety record the top end speed is way too much for a new driver. Look at the pictures - I tried to take a picture of all the exterior and interior blemishes. One of the headlight wipers is stuck in a slightly up position. They can be replaced via Ebay. I've done it myself before and it is an easy installation. The fuse box cover had to come off so I could reach something over a year ago and I never needed to return it. I still have the cover and it will included with the car if you want to re-install it. The back seats fold down and the car turns into a great hauling vehicle. Saabs are known for their safety, speed and versatility. You can get anywhere fast, safe and carry a lot of stuff while getting there in a Saab. This is my second Saab 9000 and I drove the first one to over 260,000 miles. On Oct-13-12 at 18:53:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: This car DOES NOT HAVE POWER SEATS. I did not catch that until after the car was posted. The seats are heated and the manual adjustments work but they are not power. I actually prefer the manual system in a Saab. It is very quick and easy to change from anyone else's setting to my setting and I don't have to wait for a slow electric motor to do the work.
