This is probably one of the cleanest 1992 Mercedes Benz 500E for sale anywhere, in mint condition, so your long search ends here. Welcome and thank you for visiting my auction today. First, let me say that you are dealing with a Mercedes and BMW car enthusiast that enjoy collecting and working on these types of vehicles, and have been an EBay member since 2001 with a perfect score of 100%, so rest assure that you are dealing with a responsible and serious person. Please read all the information listed on this auction, as I took my time in writing this listing to represent my car very accurately to the next buyer. I will NOT bore you with all the stats and history behind this classic 1992 Mercedes Benz 500E. If you are looking at my listing you probably know the back ground of Mercedes and Porsche when they produced this car. If you don’t, I strongly suggest to Google this car for more info. I purchased this car from Mercedes Benz dealership in Haverhill Ma back in October 2011 while in Boston for business, with about 127,xxx miles on it. The color combination is absolutely stunning (Charcoal grey/black over Tan leather). I than drove it to Virginia where I reside, a trip of about 600 miles, and the car performed unbelievably (without counting all the thumbs up I got along the way). I was told that the previous owner had done some of the mechanical upkeep, and had the following done (which was confirmed prior of my purchase at the Mercedes dealer pre-delivery pickup) : . Many belts and hoses under the hood were replaced . Engine harness was replaced. . Battery was replaced. . Tensioner replaced. . Water pump and thermostat changed. . Rotors and brake pads replaced. . Alarm system with 2 remotes (great feature). This 1992 Mercedes 500E (First generation, and the most sought after model, since it has more horse power than the later models) is absolutely stunning in every way possible. The color combination is amazing, the factory options that it has are very RARE (factory installed electric rear sunshade that works, factory collapsing rear head rest in working condition, and factory installed cell phone system that is disconnected but everything is still installed as it came from the factory). Under my ownership since October 2011 and less than 3000 miles, I had done some tasteful upgrades to satisfy my middle life crisis (as my wife puts it), and performed some mechanical maintenance to make this 500E perfect: . Purchased new set of 18’AMG replica 5 spoke wheels, and mounted a set of Goodyear tires on them. . Painted all the brake calipers “Ferrari” red and added the “Brembo” stickers on the front ones. . Replaced the front orange turn signals with the Euro smoked signals (have the originals). . Replaced the rear stop light covers with the Euro smoked ones (have the originals). . Replaced the 4 tires stem valves caps with the AMG black caps. . Replaced the factory radio with a Kenwood cd/Ipod/sat/cd/usb deck (have the original radio). . Installed a high end Kenwood amplifier in the trunk. . Replaced all the factory speakers with the high end Infinity Kappa speakers (have the factory speakers), and if you are into the Rolling Stones, Andrea Bocelli, or any other music, you will be enjoying every second of your ride. . Replaced the rear hydraulic shock. . Replaced rear strut. . Replaced the breather hose. . Replaced the valve cover gaskets. . Replaced the radiator with a brand new matching OEM. . Replaced the Pulley with OEM one. Within the last 30 days, I had the following items done: . Replaced the oil pressure sensor regulator with an OEM one. . Replaced the radiator water coolant tank reservoir complete with the cap. . Replaced the cracked fog lights with a brand new set ( OEM Bosch, NOT after market). . Just had an oil change with Mobil 1 Synthetic. And the list goes on and on.... This car is probably a strong 9 out of 10, for a 20 years old car, and they do not come for sale in this condition very often, the pictures speak for themselves. Everything works perfectly, except for the reading light bulb (the rear driver side seat) is blown, and I hope to have it fixed prior of the sale. Most of the mechanical work listed above under my ownership is under warranty by Auto Haus of Yorktown VA who performed the work at 128457 miles (that is less then 3K miles). The engine is powerful and run smoothly. The transmission shifts properly thru all the gears. The paint is in excellent condition and very shiny. The interior is in excellent condition. The AC and heat are both working properly thru all the settings. The locking system for all the doors and trunk are opening and closing with out any issues. All the windows switches operates properly, the heated front seats works great in both the low and high setting, and even the head rest for both the driver and the passenger seats goes up and down perfectly. The sun roof opens and closes with out any issue. The factory electric sunshade also goes up and down with out any hesitation, and the 2 rear seats head rests collapse with the push of a button. This 1992 MB 500E drives and perform as it should and I will not hesitate to drive it across country. This fine automobile will easily last another 300K miles with proper care. The style, design and history behind these Mercedes Benz W124 will remain a classic for ever. Please expect some extra miles as this car will be driven occasionally until sold. I have all the books, a clean and clear title with out any lien in hand and 2 keys for this car. The only reason why I am selling it, is because I will be accepting a job offer over seas by March 2013.
