Vehicle Detail

1966 Mustang “Restomod” Convertible 285 HP 4.6L DOHC all aluminum V8 with fuel injection. PPG Deep Plum Pearl Base/Clear coat finish This is one cool ride that drives like a modern car and is very fast and has lots of extras to make it a true unique one of a kind classic hot rod. This is a turn key, get in and drive Mustang ready to enjoy. It has a fuel injected 4.6L DOHC all aluminum V8 producing 285 hp to the rear wheels. It is mated to an (AOD) Automatic Overdrive transmission that shifts nice and smooth. If you are cruising 80 mph on the interstate it’s only turning 2,600 RPM. Has a button on the side of the floor shifter to turn off overdrive if you want for driving around town. It has a 9 inch Ford rearend with a 3.90 gear and posi-traction and traction bars. The 3.90 gear makes it very quick off the line and with the posi-traction it goes straight. Although you have to be careful as it will break loose and get sideways in a hurry going from first to second gear if you step on it hard. Computer controlled Electric fan to keep it cool on the hottest days. Fan comes on around 210-220 degrees. Custom aluminum radiator overflow tank. Rod & Custom Motorsports Mustang II coil over front suspension with Rack and Pinion steering ($2,700 new). Steering is very tight and close ratio, 1/2 turn or less of the steering wheel will turn a corner the ratio is that close. There is absolutely no play in the steering at all. New air conditioning (Vintage Air) that is hooked up but never been charged since installed new. 17” x 9" Cobra R polished aluminum wheels with 245x45x17” directional Kuhmo tires on all 4 corners 4 wheel disc brakes so it stops like a new car as well. High flow electric fuel pump has been mounted directly in front of the rear mounted gas tank. A fuel shutoff toggle switch is mounted up under the dash and hidden from view to keep those interested in the car from driving off without your permission. The battery was relocated to the trunk to allow for the high flow K&N air filter box setup under the hood. Aluminum Driveshaft Very clean underneath with no rust and rhino liner sprayed on the entire undercarriage to give it that nice clean finished look. No rust at all. Shelby decklid and rear fender extensions. Shelby front lower valance. Stainless dual exhaust with Magna-Flow mufflers and chrome tip extensions for a great throaty sound Interior color is parchment with Toyota MR2 reclining bucket seats with headrests, lumbar support and reupholstered in the original Mustang weave upholstery. $750 was spent to reupholster the seats. Modern dash 6-gauge cluster ($520) with individual gauges for Fuel, oil, water, amps, speedometer and tachometer for RPM’s AM/FM Mustang stereo with speakers in the dash and bottom of both doors Aftermarket console with cupholders The convertible top is parchment in color and in great condition, goes up/down easily. It has not been up much as convertibles are meant to be driven with the top down. This car is straight and looks great so bid to win, you won’t be disappointed.
