Vehicle Detail
Up for grabs at NO RESERVE is this SWEET 1969 ford econoline short wheelbase pannel van that has been heavily customized back in the day. Ill start with the body mods: shaved doorhandles, shaved tail lights, custom rear roll pan, flared wheelwells, extended rockers, hood scoop, roof wing, bubble side windows, and 4 bubble moonroofs. It is powered by a 302 v8 and C4 auto transmission. The previous owner said that the motor and trans were rebuilt in the early 2000's, and by the looks of them I believe it. I bought this van as a project, and I am selling it as a project. The van still needs some tlc before it should be daily drivin. However, I did get the van running and driving. The 302 runs like a top with no smoke or funny noises. The tranny shifts through all the gears as it should. I replaced the brake master cylinder and bled the front brakes but couldn't get any fluid out of the back wheel cylinders, probly needs a new rear hose. So, its only got front brakes at the moment. The tires hold air and have plenty of tread but are very old and weather checked, they should be replaced before driving. The headlighs, tail lights, and turn signals all work. All and all, this is a pretty solid old van. It appears there was some rust in the drivers floorboard that was patched at one time, and there is a small hole in the cargo area floor (looks like a car battery leaked, and rotted a hole). Other than that, the van appears to be very solid. These vans are really bad about the drivers side frame rail rusting around the steering box, this one is bone dry! Feel free to ask any questions and request any pics. This is a no reserve auction. However, I do reserve the right to end the auction early, being the van is for sale locally. SO BID BIG AND BID EARLY IF YOU WANT IT! $500 deposit due through paypall at auctions end. Balance due 1 week from auctions end. Buyer has 30days to pick up. I will be happy to work with transporters. On Oct-13-12 at 17:50:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Iv done a little tuning on the van this week and got it running really well! The 302 has power to spare, and sounds great through the dual exhaust! Also, I found out that the 9 inch rear end has a posi in it. It will fry the tires without much effort at all.
