Central Valley Classics Helping people buy their dreams for over 20 years We are proud to offer this special vehicle for auction! GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 1950 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Convertible VIN - 5HKD32398 350 TPI Performance Engine 700R4 Automatic Transmission 4 Wheel Disc Brakes (SSBC) Fat Man - Mustang II Front Clip Power Rack & Pinion Steering Chevy 10 Bolt Rear End Air bags w/ 4 Wheel Adjustments Vintage Air Power Cloth Top Cragar Wheels Billet Throughout Engine Compartment Painless wiring Classic Gauges Optima Battery in Trunk Much More! This is one of several cars from an estate, what you will read in the description about the car is all that is known. The car has been sitting for about 4 years in covered storage since the owner passed, it has been started regularly and driven around the storage facility but has maybe 200 miles total since built. It actually was finished at the time of the owners passing and was finished in memoriam since it was almost done. It was shown at 2 car shows local and that's it. It just had a new battery installed, serviced and detailed prior to me taking the pictures. I crawled around the underside, inside and topside to get a good look at the car, this is the one you want if your serious about a 50 Chevy convertible. This car is as clean underneath as I've seen as for signs of previous or existing rust. The paint is very nice, it has been done with the goal of showing with pride and the color is believed to be Brandy Wine. The body is very straight and that speaks volumes as to the prep work involved to get that finish, a paint job like this is not cheap. Look at the reflections in the pictures, like a mirror! The chrome is also in beautiful shape, the bumper guards were left off for a cleaner look since it is a resto mod rather than an original. The Cragar wheels are nice and add to the period look. The cloth top works perfectly, there is a boot when it's down and it has a glass back window. The engine is believed to be a GM crate engine, ZZ4 based on the aluminum heads and black block. Yes it sounds very nice. The polished Tuned Port Injection system was added as well as a generous helping of billet aluminum to dress it up. It has Ceramic coated headers, March pulleys, SS PS hoses, billet radiator hose sleeves, Corvette valve covers, Be-Cool aluminum radiator, electric fan, K&N air filter and more. The transmission is a 700R4 but is unknown if it has a stall converter or not. The rear end is a 10 bolt but I didn't check the gear ratio or determine if it's a posi. It was built here in town by Fearless Gear, I could research it with them if the need arises. The exhaust runs out with aluminized pipes so they'll stay looking good, it passes thru a set of glass packs and goes all the way out the back so you don't make a dust storm at the shows. The A/C did not work at the time of taking the pictures.. The interior was replaced with original style upholstery throughout, it gives it the right look. The dash has the original radio and gauges by Classic Instruments. All of the gauges appeared to be working as did the speedometer but for some reason the odometer is not registering so it may not be hooked up, it is electric I think. There is a hidden stereo with a CD changer mounted under the dash. The steering column is the original since this was originally an automatic car, all that was done was to add the adapter for the rack & pinion. The trunk area is finished of nicely with panels to cover the air tank and battery. Lots of attention to detail everywhere. There are a couple of things that need attention and are noted here. Both outside door handles don't open the doors properly, these will need to have the rods adjusted. The A/C system will need to be charged. The battery goes dead sitting and the culprit is the compressor for the air bags, it is hooked up to full time power and needs to be wired to switched power. The driver quarter glass has a crack from something bumping it in storage. Odometer doesn't register, believed to not be hooked up. That is all that was noticed by myself as I looked the car over, if I missed something it is very minor. There is no Buy-It-Now, if you want to bypass the bidding on this auction please make an offer I can submit to the Fiduciary for the estate and it will considered. The reserve was set the low end of the current market value as determined by a professional appraiser for the estate. This was determined using comparable sales from auctions and private sales from all over the country, condition was factored into this as well as options on the car. Please don't ask what the reserve is as it's not fair to the other bidders in the auction. There is no interest in any trades, the car is sold as is. I welcome inspections, the car is in storage a few miles from me and can be viewed by appointment. The winning bidder will receive clear title from the estate, it will take several days for the title to be sent after full funds have been received. A bill of sale will be provided in lieu of title until it is sent to you. I can assist with arranging shipping to your location or make recommendations for shipping, of course it can be picked up in person after estate has received funds. The car must be picked up within 14 days from the close of auction unless alternate arrangements have been agreed to. Please let me know any questions you have. This car is located in Fresno, CA. Terms and Conditions Of The Auction The winning bidder agrees to provide a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction, the balance is due within 7 days. The balance is to be paid through a bank transfer. Please don't bid if your funds are not readily available, if you are applying for a loan please give the bank ample time for an inspection. The auction is to purchase a car, the winning bidder is entering a contract to purchase this car and not to look it over after the purchase, please arrange any inspections before auction end. Ask all questions necessary to make a decision before auction end. If we arrange transportation for the vehicle, open or enclosed, the buyer pays for the shipping. While every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information regarding each vehicle being auctioned, bidders are advised to rely upon their own research. I personally look at these vehicles and write these auction listings, I also gather as much information from the car owner. My descriptions are as I see the car, it may differ from your opinion. I have over 30 years experience but as you, I am human and it is possible for me to miss something. PLEASE ASK, your questions will be answered and if I don't know I will find out. The car is listed on our website and we reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time should this vehicle be sold before auction ending time, before the reserve has been met and shall not be held responsible or liable for such cancellation. No auction will ended early once the reserve has been met.
