OFFERED AT NO RESERVE!! HIGH BID WINS!! Offering a 1996 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible by Coach Builders Limited. This 96 Eldorado spent most of its life in Oklahoma. Originally sold by Bob Moore Cadillac in Oklahoma City, and serviced there through its first owner. This owner had the car for 10 years. The second owner had the vehicle for about 3 years, and also had it serviced at Bob Moore. The car was then sold on cars.com for $11,000 on 4/29/09 to Lakefront Productions Inc to be used as Kevin James's "rental" car in the movie Grown Ups. I purchased it from the production company after the movie was filmed and finally edited. I had possession of the car when it hit theaters. The car was completely stock when I acquired it, you can see this in some of the movie shots I have below. Since the movie, I have added Vouge tires, on brand new take off 2005 Cadillac DHS wheels, Cadillac splash guards, the Biarritz chrome moulding down the side, and stainless fender trim. Its a sharp looking vehicle. Its been used only for our summer getaway in Maine, and most miles are highway going back and forth. The car has also been used in some local parades. I have since purchased a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado and do not intend to keep 2 convertibles. I walked into this 1996, but I wanted the 75-76, ultimately wanting a 59. (Im slowly moving back in Eldorado years) This is a great inexpensive convertible that comfortably holds 4 and is something you WILL NOT see often, if at all. I have seen a few locally, but most were owned by a local Cadillac enthusiast. To convert this car in 1996 was between 17 and 20k depending on which style top you were seeking. This is the "soft boot" version, and it retains its original soft boot that snaps on over the top to make it a clean looking convertible. The hard boot versions have a hard boot that covers the top, but it doesnt retain the factory sweeping rear roof like the soft versions. The car comes with one set of keys, manuals and floor mats. I have the paperwork also from the production company purchase, and a Car Fax I ran when I bought it showing me as the 3rd register owner, no accidents reported to Car Fax. The car runs well, and drives great. It reaches 25-26 mpg on the highway. It was a seasonal car for me, only used in the summer. It does need some TLC to be a everyday car. That including a power trunk pull down motor (quit this summer) and a blend door actuator behind the glove box. The AC works, but the heat only blows hot out the passengers side, cool out the drivers. I never needed heat, so I never fixed it. But its not a case where you have to remove the dash to access, its servicable in the car. Also the Traction control light is on. No other lights or warnings. As for the Northstar, it has never overheated on me, never going above normal. Its been mostly highway driven, parade driven and beach traffic driven. It does burn oil, as a common Northstar. All the windows work ( I replaced both rear motors, and have a brand new spare) The top works with no need for assistance. It comes with the boot. Power antenna works also. There is some wear on the top of the steering wheel, and some chipping/ scratches and wear on the outside (Pictured you will see the abnormal wear) It is used and is 17 years old. Its cosmetically in great shape for a eye catching summer cruiser. The top has been replaced atleast once, and is in good condition with no holes or cuts. The leather is also nice and clean, with no abnormal wear. No cracks or damage to door panels, or the dash. Dash is free of any warping. There is a brass plaque on the dash board indicating its movie use. The body is in great shape for a 96, showing only a few minor bumps and bruises (pictured is the passenger side door edge, and driver side door and rocker area) Otherwise the body is in very presentable condition. No rust, never seen snow. I had the windshield replaced when I bought it. This is not a 15k mile/$22,000 show car like you sometimes see, and im not looking to get rich off selling it as one. I would like to list it once, and sell it once. So please no pipe dreamers. Listing it is not free, nor is owning it. Ask your girlfriend, wife, parents, cumad or anyone else that will have a say in you buying this Caddy. Not looking for a trade. Cash or wire transfer only. Im not a bank, I take one payment for the full amount. Clean and clear paperwork in hand. Anyone interested in seeing the car has 10 days to do so before the auction ends. Its also the buyers responsibilty to transport the car to your location. The car is currently registered and inspected, but once sold the plates will be removed. Massachusetts does not issue temp/ in transit plates. Usually shipping the vehicle to you is the best way to get it, after cost of flying, fuel and any other expense. Becomeing the winning bidder does not entitle you to be the winning "check-er-out-er" as they say in an auction, "YAH BOUGHT IT!" A $500 non-refundable papal deposit is due within 24hours, unless other araingments are agreed upon. Its being sold as it is, where it is, for what it is, and how it is. The 75 says sell it, so I am. (Notice I didnt say wife) Thanks for viewing. Damage on door from removing door edge guard Scratch on rocker, chips on door edge
