Vehicle Detail

Listen folks, this is a great truck to go get cars with, I just don´t need it any more and it has to go.I WILL SELL THIS TO HIGHEST BIDDER AS RESERVE IS 2500! This is a custom built 1976 Dodge carhauler that has been a good help on many trips to get classic cars. His name is Börje, after a swedish hero.We have been all over the west, through the Nevada mountains in snow and to Mexico in 100+ heat, and always came home safe. The truck is very dependable, does not overheat even when climbing the Grapevine with 2 cars in tow.The engine is a very strong 440, the transmission is a rebuilt 727 and has an overdrive Gear Vendor unit attached to it.That, and most of the work was done by the former owner in 2005, see receipts for this.A lot of money was spent on aftermarket A/C, transmission, Gear Vendor, sound system, cooling, etc. etc.I have more receipts..I have done some recent work too, a new brake booster, alternator and 6 new tires. The truck is very well built and has no rust at all anywhere. There´s a strong winch that will pull any car you can think of buying up on the bed even if the tires are flat.It is very nice to drive, goes straight down the road and is easy to maneuver.Börje is 36 year old so you will need to keep an eye on things and do some service, but if you are still reading this, I´m sure you´re a car guy that understands that.Everything works great except the air condition pump that has frozen. The bad part of this truck is the wiring, all the things you need are reliable, as lights, winch, turn signals, stereo, etc. but it´s not pretty and a cleanup on that wouldn´t hurt. As for economy, you may wonder?Well it is a gas engine and you are moving a lot of weight so yes, it want´s to be fed.I´m averaging 8-9 mpg, which is not really that bad considering the load and when I compare with friends who run diesels they get about 10 mpg in a similar rig.Diesel is usually more expensive than gas, so the difference is not that big in reality. This is mainly thanks to the Gear Vendor overdrive that let´s the 440 rumble on it´s torque at 2000 r´s when putting the miles on. I have a title in my name and current registration. Bid on this with intent to buy, I wan´t a 500 Dollar deposit within 48 hrs and the balance within a week. You may pay with check, wire or good old green, as long as it´s paid for before leaving. No warranties given or implied, sold as is. If you are a car guy, especially a Mopar guy, you need this:) You could even take the great running 440, the 727 tranny and the Gear Vendor overdrive unit and stick it in your MOPAR to make it a helluva ride and then sell the remaining truck to a guy who want´s a Cummins under the hood! Call or email for more info, number is 949 335 2225, name is Peter. Thanks for looking!
