A true numbers matching GT390, this beautiful fastback was subjected to a full ground up restoration completed in 2007. The car has been garage kept since the restoration was completed and hads been subjected to rain only once. The body is excellent with no ripples or waviness . Thats hard to acheive with a black paint job!The entire drive train including motor, transmission and differential were professionally rebuilt and upgraded. The motor was bored out to approximately 396 CI. The heads and intake manifold were upgraded to Edelbrock performer components. This nautally aspirated motor is carburated by a Street Demon 650 with electric choke. Hooker headers tie into a custom built exhaust system which sounds great. With compression at 9:65 to 1 the car runs great on mid grade fuel. I've used Brad Penn racing oil since day one. The rocker shafts were replaced with heavy duty units. The car is equipped with an Optima battery and Pertronix solid state ignition. The engine bay sports an MPG aircraft style shock tower/Montecarlo set up. The suspension boasts front and rear anti-sway bars, heavy duty shocks, new tires and American Racing wheels. The interior was treated to a professional re-upholstery of all seats , new carpets, head rests, a 4 speaker stereo system with the extra speakers hidden discretely in the kick panels and a fire exstinguisher.I am offering this beautiful classic ass kicker with original tool bag, Wolf car cover, extra fan belts and hoses, the original chromed GT wheels, rings and hub caps and a full size spare. I am also including the center console with complete wiring and light; however, the console was never installed as the top metal piece is broken and I have not been able to locate a replacement. There are several very minor defects in the paint job (small checks ). The car runs very well. Although, the car has not been on a dyno, the shop which rebuilt the motor estimated the horse power and torque lbs to be around 500 each. This is a beautiful car and a real eye grabber.
