Up for auction with NO RESERVE from JINGLETOWN RECORDS home of the WORLD FAMOUS rock band GREEN DAY is a BEAUTIFUL 1962 FORD FALCON FUTURA with a 289 HiPo V8, 4-SPEED T-10 TRANSMISSION AND A FORD 9" REAR END WITH A DETROIT LOCKER! This car has been through a GROUND-UP RESTORATION AND EVERYTHING IS NEW OR HAS BEEN GONE THROUGH! This car was purchased NEW by a gentlemen out of Pleasanton, CA and turned into a street-able bracket racer ditching the ORIGINAL straight six and 3-speed on the column manual transmission along with the stock 8" rear end. Work began on the transition into what it is now in 1967 by using a 1966 Mustang as a donor car for the RESTORATION. It was raced on and off throughout it's life at FREMONT DRAGSTRIP in the 1960's-1980's and is a TRUE SURVIVOR CAR THAT IS 100% RUST AND ACCIDENT FREE! IT HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR OVER 40 YEARS! The front springs and brakes are from a Mustang. It is currently running a 1966 289 from a Mustang. The 289 has been COMPLETELY REBUILT, BLUEPRINTED AND BALANCED! It has a HOLLY 750 CFM DOUBLE PUMPER WITH AN EDELBROCK ALUMINIUM INTAKE AND ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTOR AND COBRA VALVE COVERS. Most of the hoses are STEEL BRAIDED LINES as you can see in the pictures. It has an ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP FOR A MUCH BETTER FUEL DELIVERY AND AN OVERSIZE 3-ROW RADIATOR TO KEEP IT COOL. It has HEDMAN HEADERS through NEW STAINLESS 2 1/2" exhaust system and FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS. THIS COMBINATION SOUNDS AMAZING! It has a compression ratio of 10:1 running a CRANE CAM with 515 lift and 280 duration mated to a T-10 4-SPEED THAT IS COMPLETELY REBUILT WITH A WEBER 10" CLUTCH with a BALANCED DRIVESHAFT mated to a COMPLETELY REBUILT, SET UP FORD 9" WITH A DETROIT LOCKER 28 SPLINE WITH LARGE BEARING AND 4:11 GEARS. The ENTIRE BRAKING SYSTEM is from a 1966 Mustang with a HiPo OVERSIZED MASTER CYLINDER WITH ALL NEW BRAKE COMPONENTS CONSISTING OF ALL HARD LINES, HOSES, SHOES AND TURNED DRUMS. IT STOPS EXCELLENT AND DOES NOT PULL AT ALL! The EMERGENCY BRAKE WORKS GREAT AND IS FUNCTIONAL. This car has all Mustang suspension with ALL NEW BUSHINGS, BALL JOINTS AND TIE ROD ENDS. It has NEW SHOCKS ALL THE WAY AROUND. It has LAKEWOOD TRACTION BARS IN THE REAR! I have a set of brand new SUB FRAME CONNECTORS that come with the sale of the car. This FALCON RIDES AND HANDLES LIKE A DREAM! The CHROME REVERSE WHEELS ARE BRAND NEW WITH BIGS IN THE REAR AND LITTLES IN THE FRONT WITH ALMOST NEW TIRES ON ALL FOUR CORNERS. I was told that the entire running gear was from a HiPo K-CODE Mustang. I have not run any of the casting numbers to confirm this. The original owner radius cut the rear wheel wells and flared them for running wider tires since with the stock Falcon there is no room to run wider tires. The work done flaring the fenders is FANTASTIC and you can tell that some SERIOUS TIME WAS SPENT rather than a quick hack job like you would normally see. The car was COMPLETELY STRIPED AND REPAINTED back to the color it was when it was turned into a hot rod in the 60's which is very similar to the STOCK Ford MING GREEN color. The paint is a HIGH QUALITY 2-STAGE PPG CLEAR COAT/BASE COAT AND AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES IT LOOKS AMAZING! The car is COMPLETELY 100% RUST FREE WITH 100% ORIGINAL SHEET METAL, BODY, FLOORS AND TRUNK! The body is LASER STRAIGHT! ALL BODY PANELS, HOOD, DOORS AND TRUNK LINE UP GREAT LIKE THEY SHOULD! There are a few minor flaws from being driven as shown in the pictures. They are not noticeable unless you are standing very close up. The ENTIRE CAR was TAKEN APART WHEN PAINTED...THE HOOD, FENDERS, TRUNK, DOORS, EVERYTHING WAS PRIMERED, SEALED AND PAINTED BEFORE IT WAS RE-ASSEMBLED USING ALL NEW BODY GASKETS AND RUBBERS! THE ENTIRE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS BLASTED AND THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY PATCH PANELS ANYWHERE. AFTER THAT IT WAS PAINTED SATIN BLACK WITH ALL NEW NUTS AND BOLTS! IT IS SO CLEAN YOU COULD EAT OFF IT! The glass is ALL ORIGINAL FOMOCO AND IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. ALL THE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY AS THEY SHOULD. It also has ALL NEW RUBBER AND WEATHERSTRIPPING. All the window stainless is in EXCELLENT SHAPE. The window chrome is in EXCELLENT SHAPE. Both bumpers have been re-chromed and are in EXCELLENT SHAPE ALONG WITH THE DOOR HANDLES. The grill, headlight bezels and rear tail light bezels are in EXCELLENT SHAPE! The interior has been COMPLETELY STRIPED, PRIMED AND PAINTED HIGH GLOSS BLACK. The instrument gauge cluster has been FULLY REBUILT AND POLISHED! EVERYTHING WORKS AND LOOKS AMAZING! The entire electrical system has been gone through so EVERYTHING WORKS EVEN THE SWIVEL DOME LIGHT WHEN THE DOORS ARE OPEN! The gauge pod on top of the dash is from the 60's when this car was built and turned into a hot rod and sports OLD SCHOOL STEWART WARNER GAUGES CONSISTING OF OIL PRESSURE, WATER TEMP AND VOLTAGE. THEY ALL WORK AS THEY SHOULD. There is an OLD SCHOOL TACHOMETER mounted to the steering column which works GREAT AND IS PERIOD CORRECT TO THE BUILD! The steering wheel is an old style GRANT 3-spoke foam wheel. The HURST SHIFTER WORKS PERFECTLY AND LOOKS AMAZING, please disregard the 3 speed shift knob. lol.. It's definitely a 4 speed! This car has a FACTORY RADIO DELETE. The BLACK CARPET IS ALL NEW! There are OLD SCHOOL LIGHTWEIGHT RACING BUCKETS IN LIKE-BRAND NEW CONDITION WITHOUT A SINGLE RIP OR TEAR! The door panels are NEW ALONG WITH THE ARMRESTS, REAR PANELS, HEADLINER AND KICK PANELS! This car has a rear seat delete panel. It also has a 4-point ROLL BAR THAT IS BOLT-IN WITH AN ATTACHED FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND CAN EASILY BE REMOVED TO RUN A BACK SEAT IF DESIRED! I do not have a rear seat for the car but they are easily attainable. The door sill plates are LIKE NEW! The FACTORY CENTER CONSOLE IS IN GREAT SHAPE! ALL THE LIGHTS WORK! HEADLIGHTS, TAIL LIGHTS, BLINKERS, DOME LIGHT, EVEN THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT WORKS! THIS CAR IS AMAZING! IT IS A TOP QUALITY BUILD WITH NO SHAKES, RATTLES OR ANYTHING!
