1969 MG C Class for sale. This is truly a RARE British Classic vehicle. The C Class was only produced in 1968 and 1969 with a 2.9 Liter 6 Cylinder engine (from Austin Healy) with twin carbs and it runs like a bat-out-a-hell. Of the 8,999 built, about half (4256) were sold in the U.S. This car features: New paint (the car was stripped to bare metal and then primed and painted), new stereo w/mp3 player, new upholstery, new convertible top, new dash cover, custom steering wheel, original type tires with 90% tread, original wire wheels painted gloss black, all chrome has been polished, 4 speed synchro-mesh transmission with overdrive and the rear end were just serviced, new gas tank, a new fuel pump, new tachometer, the cab and trunk area were treated with rubberized "rhino" lining, battery disconnect switch, the engine is strong and the head was rebuilt to use unleaded gas, it only has 51,733 miles. This car drives perfectly. It has not been restored but it has been well maintained. Compression test was done, cylinders 1,2,4,and 6 were at 130 psi., cylinders 3 and 5 were at 125 psi. I bought the car from a friend who told me his mother was the original owner. Although the car is a 1969 the title states it is a 1971 which is not possible since the MGC was only made in 1968 and 1969, I assume it was bought in the US in 1971 and that is why the year is different. I removed all the SMOG equipment but I still have it if you want it. Also included are the original tonnaeu cover, and bow in it's original sheath, luggage rack, wing type and wrench type spinners, convertible top cover. The issues with the car as far as I know are the following: the speedo runs slower that the actual speed, the engine rear seal seems to leak a few drops, there is some surface rust on the undercarriage but nothing major, I had the original power brake boosters removed and replaced with a newer more reliable system, (the original boosters are included in the sale, as well as other miscellaneus parts such as brake pads, oil filter, etc).
