Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a rare, pristine 2003 Audi RS6 Sports Sedan, one of the finest sports sedans ever built. It is bone stock and not modified from factory trim in any way with the exception of aftermarket air cleaners. There were 840 of these cars imported in their only US production year, 2003. It has a hand-built, twin turbo 4.2L engine with 5-valve Cosworth heads resulting in 450 hp, Quattro AWD and fantastic brakes. If you've driven one, no explanation is necessary. If not, no explanation is possible. The car is Ebony Pearl (they didn't make black) with black interior piped with ivory and has an Alcantara headliner. Options include Sound Enhanced Exhaust (black tips), a $950 option, Carbon Trim package throughout, Warm Weather package, which means manual window shades on the back side windows and a power shade for the rear glass along with a solar paneled sunroof that runs an exhaust fan when the interior of the car gets hot. Heated seats front and rear, Parking Sensors, Bi-Xenon headlines, RS6 Sports suspension (updated for the recall) and Bose Premium Sound System with Satellite radio and NAV. The NAV is not operational (it was primitive in 2003) but has the disk, etc. This is my personal car. I bought it with 50,000 miles nearly 3 years ago and pampered it ever sense. It is a phenomenal sports sedan. Hand built at Audi's Quattro GmbH shop, not the standard A6 production line. While the car resembles an A6, they are completely different cars and share very few components. Compare the front fender bulges, for example. The tires are the correct Michelin Pilot Sport XL (extra load, which is required) tires and have about 4k miles on them. There are new brake rotors and pads that were done recently, as well. All parts were genuine Audi and all work was done correctly. The finish on the wheels began to flake and they were completely re-finished by the local Audi/Porsche dealer's contractor. Wear is evident on the "down" fan control button (I included a picture) and there is some signs of wear on the interior door pull (common for this car but want to point it out). There is a tiny rock chip off line on the windshield which I will get repaired at your request. There is a rub mark on the lower valance (picture included) that was there when I bought the car. It has a few very minor rock chips on the front fascia. I have all the books and records, two keys, etc. I will deliver the car within 300 miles of West Hartford, CT and/or help you arrange pick-up if you want to ship it. I'm happy to answer questions and please see my feedback. The car is being advertised elsewhere and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
