“STRIKING 1969 PAMPERED CLASSIC STALLION” MUST SEE 2 OWNER RED MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE! Accident free / Rust free Documented Lady owned Believed to be 12,000 Actual miles!!! Ultra Rare split bench rag top equipped with power steering & power top! This incredible crowd pleasing dependable Mustang’s ready for cruise night! As fall settles in we here in the Mid West have grown accustom to certain changes associated with the season. Cooler temperatures, yellow school buses & falling leaves are the norm. However, every so often if you are fortunate enough “you may just catch a convertible Muscle car scurrying through those dying tried leaves” creating a picture perfect scene. I am one who believes that there is no better pony car made for top down fun than the 1969 Mustang convertible! This particular Mustang simply steals the show each and every time it makes an appearance! It is absolutely stunning & truly needs to be seen to be appreciated! I have owned quite a few Mustangs in my day however; I must say that this car is one of my particular favorites. All of the repair shops that I have taken different classic cars to through the years have expressed the same sentiment: “That’s one of the nicest Mustangs that you have ever brought here” {references upon request}. At any rate the vehicle was produced in Dearborn but it hails from the Twin Cities {D.S.O. 44} District Shipping Order. This wonderful Mustang has only had two owners as previously stated. Both of the previous owners really loved this car. Their passion for the vehicle is provided in evidence by its current condition. The car spent approximately five years in the hands of the first owner. Eventually it was sold to the lucky second owner {whom I had a chance to meet} who brought her to a region with much more hospitable weather. As you survey the cars body and paint you will notice that the exterior is in excellent condition. Each panel is original & very uniform to the body {certainly an accident free vehicle}. The paint is absolutely beautiful and it shines incredibly throughout the day! There are few words that can describe the reaction that one receives when sitting behind the wheel of this vintage Ford! It will be common place to have complete strangers approach you asking “what year is your car?” there will also be random people taking photos of your car with their new camera phones! It doesn’t end there. If you dare take this pony out in the morning school kids waiting at the bus stop will wave & point as you roll by. This particular Mustang is REALLY fun to own & a pleasure to drive! The car has only received one paint job outside of its original factory covering. The exact same color code was used to keep her factory correct. It was labeled {T-Code Red} from the factory & it’s absolutely stunning!!! Your passenger seat will never be empty. Everyone will become your best buddy! When this pony leaves the stable {everybody wants to ride}! This Mustang presents itself very well! The windows are in great shape & damage free. They are all on track {a true rarity for 69 convertible Mustangs}! The front windshield is in great shape & the door moldings are as well. You want 1960’s Nostalgia…? This Muscle Mustang has a bold looking Mach 1 style hood scoop with integrated turn signals that sits smack dab on top of the hood. It makes this rag top look menacing as she rolls down the freeway! Oh yeah…the signals actually work! This car has a dual nature as it looks a bit elegant at times and like a pure Muscle car on other occasions. Regardless everyone loves it! It is always nice to take this car to an upscale event where valet parking is required. My wife & I did this once. As the well to do crowd with Beemer’s & other German cars were being parked we rolled up in this pony “It bruised quite a few egos”. This throw back plays its part well and adds just the right touch with factory sport mirrors! If while driving you decided to listen to Buddy Holly & cruise Route 66 you’d feel 19 again! A set of brilliant bright white GT side stripes are nicely attached along the rockers panels of this Ford. They work wonderfully in conjunction with the parchment white top! From bumper to bumper you will be sure to get a kick out of this pony {Fall car cruise here we come}! When you think in terms of the Ford Mustang one of the first things that come to mind should be performance. Ironically, most people tend to forget that these cars could be made to order. If one had a family but, still wanted to be sporty and cool he or she could have their Mustangs interior to suit their needs. This particular Mustang still provides proof of that option being exercised! An ultra rare factory custom bench seat sits inside the cockpit of this pony. It not only makes this rag top pony RARE it looks great and works as a conversation piece itself at the local shows. It sparks quite a lot of interest from Mustang enthusiast as well since this car was produced with a 351 H Code motor {usually reserved for Mach 1 cars}. The original 2D code {Dark Red Vinyl / Kiwi Standard} upholstery is in excellent shape. The front seats are very comfortable & the rear seats are very inviting as well. The door panels look as if the have never been touched {excellent condition}! The arm rest also prove to be in wonderful condition. The factory steering wheel is in show condition. Unlike most it does not have a single crack in it! The horn pad & horn ring are in phenomenal shape also! Everyone that has seen the car is more than impressed with the cars factory original dash {MINT CONDITION}! The carpet is great shape & so are the interior quarter trim pieces. The recently replaced white power canvas top looks great & functions properly. The convertible rear curtain window is in nice shape as well. There’s a factory white convertible boot cover that sits atop the canvas when she is lowered. As always I have the convertible power top fluid reservoir serviced on rag top cars. It is a tedious task but it makes operating the top a breeze. There are no hidden broken lines or damaged relays. Many classic Mustang enthusiasts seem to intentionally neglect addressing this job because it happens to be time consuming {when done properly}. However, failure to do so will most likely cause the next owner to shell out countless dollars on cracked lines, a sluggish reservoir & possibly a new convertible top motor. No worries here …. As previously stated all of the hard work has been done. Now about the heart of this stallion: The car came from the factory with an [H-Code 351] Motor. It was however replaced by the dealer in 1970. As the story goes the original owner was unhappy about something regarding the engine {I don’t know what it was}. After much back & forth with the dealership they gave him the option to trade the car {he refused to do so he loved the car}. So dealership supposedly came into agreement to replace the motor. Even with the warranty there was some cost associated with the swap {which he deemed unacceptable}. Therefore {the second owners told me} that they agreed to warranty the motor out with an F-Code block which was a little lighter on the pocket book. To compensate for the lighter fare in the horse power department a couple of years later he had several Ford sanctioned high performance parts installed. The car was taken to a machine shop were canted valves & stainless springs were installed. He also had a bit of a hotter cam installed. This pony runs better than any 351 car that I have ever driven {extremely responsive} a true performer! The car fires right up and absolutely purrs down the freeway! It won’t take two city blocks to make you a believer! The car came equipped with factory 3:00:1 rear end gears so simply cruising her is always an option {VERY USER FRIENDLY}! This car also gets mpg whether wheeling around town or on the driving on the interstate. The previous owners had records showing maintenance being performed until the car hit approx. 12070 miles! Once again evidence supporting the 14k mile odometer reading. The 27 year old records were old hand written ones. They weren’t very legible so most weren’t worth keeping. The car has great road manners. “Not all over the road like most”! The car handles much better than most Mustangs ranging close to its model year. There has been a host parts replaced in the not so distant past also. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, thermostat, hoses, belts, etc. Much more could be listed. Fly in & drive back if you like! Dual Exhaust with two chamber performance mufflers are the order of the day. This beautiful Mustang has a nostalgic muscle car growl that automatically reminds you of yesteryear! Let’s fire her up! I drove this car recently on one occasion 87 miles and it just begged for more! The original [C-4 Cruise-O-Matic] Transmission is original equipment to the car. It shifts effortlessly and engages with ease. This one has plenty of torque! The complete power train is in excellent working condition! The compression ratio values stand true & the brakes are in great shape. The head lights, markers & turn signals function as they should. Ready for your enjoyment! Authentic yet brand new 15x8 inch Magnum 500 wheels {no 14 inch wheels here} and spank brand new wide track Firestone FireHawk raised white letter performance radials provide good handling {extra aggressive look}! This set is not even two weeks old {receipts included}! The bigger mag wheels give this pony a look to die for. It sports a stance that could even make its sibling Boss 302 jealous! Here is a short flick of the cars overall body & persona: You will find nice chrome and beautiful exterior moldings around the complete circumference of this Vintage Ford. Power steering, power top, & AM/FM radio makes cruising a blast! If you have truly been waiting on a nice 1969 Mustang Convertible she’s here. If you are a fence sitter I would implore you to come check this one out. It’s a wonderful car & a Great investment! Few of my auctions run the full course. Most of the collector cars that I list usually sale before the auction ends. I always have several interested parties call me after the auction ends early wishing that they had pulled the trigger. As always the first serious buyer gets the car. Owning this car will turn an average day into one filled with excitement! Garaged and covered {car cover included}. This Fire Engine Red 69 convertible pony is ready for a new home. I believe that you get what you pay so this car won’t be given away. However I feel that the reserve and the asking price are more than fair. I have seen some of the so called restored classic Mustangs on the market & many of them pale in comparison to this particular vehicle. This 69 Stang is also rock solid & rust free! There’s a lot more that could be said about this car. At the end of the day I am sure that the new potential owner will be more than pleased with this classic convertible. NO SURPRISES!
