up for auction is an almost all original 1965 gmc 1/2 ton gmc pickup for sale. this vehicle has been well cared for its whole life and has just undergone a fresh body restoration. the paint and body work was done locally here on vancouver island B.C. this truck is equipped with the popular 3 on the tree manual transmission and the good old fashioned straight 6 engine. mechanically this truck runs and operates well. As you can see the inside of the box is lined with brand new freshly treated maple wood and stainless steel hardware. brand new brake master cylinder, rebuilt original carburetor, incredible E break system, stainless steel exhaust ( not new ), 6 speaker cd stereo as well as the original radio ( not hooked up ), very rare factory option chrome kleenex box holder,12 bolt rear end, chrome spotlight, wide white wall tires with alot of life left , factory chrome bumpers and grille assembly, brand new turn signals lenses, brand new factory GM old stock vinyl floor mat . the engine flashes up right away and seems to run great although it seems to be burning some oil ( unsure of the reason for this ) . Still needs a few things to be perfect...such as rubber door seals, passenger side wiper arm and a little tinkering here and there. The tailgate is also included with the purchase however it is still in the paintbooth. this is the original tailgate and will come out looking like it did from the factory 50 years ago ! please email me for more pictures or any further information regarding any aspect of this beautiful machine .
