hello your looking at my pride and joy, i call him THOR 1979 chevy long bed 2wd pickup truck, its got a 454 big block crate motor and a turbo 400 automatic tranny its a 3-speed automatic, its been lowerd a little but not too low just the perfect height i think i wanna point out, in the 1 photo where you see the back end of the truck, the exhuast coming straight out the back that was the old exhaust the new exhaust only 5 months old comes out both sides :) the photos are about 1 month old, this truck has massive torque and speed, it is very fast and very loud, and is truly one of a kind, its got posi rear, duel exhaust , headers, the headers are both heat wraped, its got many holley parts, its got 2 fuel pumps, for faster fuel flow, i believe its got 4:11 gears, it has a shift kit and a mild cam, from what the old owner had told me, its been garage kept all its life it has 18inch long duel cherry bomb mufflers, custom tips coming out behind both rear tires, both the tranny and motor were rebuilt from the ground up, im going to say 25k miles on the tranny and motor to be safe i think its 22k but i always say higher to be safe :D, the truck needs TLC this is not a project truck its rust free and it was restored many years since 2007 almost every single part has been replaced, and since then it has only been driven less then 10k miles since 2007, i say it needs tlc because it could use random things changed or done to how the owner likes it, overall i would say if u wanted to make everything 100% correct it would cost you less then 1,000$ to do it, way less and thats including inspection and having a radio installed with speakers, but the truck needs nothing all it needs is inspection and your good to go, i had it valued at 6,500$ ( before i spent 600$ on custom exhaust ) last year, and i have about 7,000-8000total value into the truck as of right now, the truck does not have a radio, i was quoted a price of 150-200$ from my shop to install a new one with speakers, and the truck is not inspected anymore it was due this july and i never got around to taking it to my shop, all it would need is oil change and standard inspection stuff, right now i have it in a storage unit, cause i do not have a garage at my home and a truck this nice shouldnt be outside but thats just my opinion,, and i pay 200$ a month to keep it in there , i had planned to have this truck restored.. i was told it would be valued at 14.5k+ but in june a chance came to me for me to start my own business be my own boss, so instead i put all i have into my new business, things are going great but im working almost 7 days a week and i dont have time anymore for this truck or the money, and i really could use some extra work tools and possible a work van therefore i made the choice to give up thor to make my business bigger, and hopfully someday own another thor like truck again, this truck is really one of a kind, and to the winning bidder you'll see mechanically there is nothing wrong at all its tuned perfect the body is in great shape no rust thru anywhere the paint is in great shape aswell, like i said overall just great a real head turner , like i said the 2 only main things are radio and inspection, which i guess really aint that bad anyways i bought new window cranks and new door panels for the truck 300$ value that im giving with the truck for free, i have never had any issues with starting the truck in winter time or anything being honest here if i wanted to could sit a few months and get 6,000$ or 6500 if i got it inspected if the economy was better i could get 6k within a week's time for this truck and i prob could get 6,000$ for it pretty quick if i list it in the auto locator but a friend told me to try here first, im tired of paying the storage fee's so that is why im starting the listing off at 4,000 im really hopping to at least get 6000 out of it off ebay i actually had this truck sold for 6,000$ the guy meet me gave me a deposit, and said he will call me in a few days to pickup the truck and give me the rest of the money, over 6 week's passed by! 6 weeks, after trying to call him time and time again i think he just backed out and blocked my number cause maybe he didnt have the money :/, i gave up i waited 6 weeks for him i doubt anyone would hold a truck that long for someone... i was just being nice but oh well it is what it is so now that is another reason why im listing it at 4k with no resrv i figure at 4k someone will see what a steal this is, im tired of paying 200$ a month storage i guess i would rather list it a 4k with no resrv and take the risk of it only selling for that price, then list it at 6 and no one bid then have to waste more time by relisting it which cost time and money, so eitherway you can look at it this way its worth 6000-6500$ in today's market thats the price you could get if u inspect it and sell it at a car show or auto-locator --if you bid and get it for anything less then 6,000$ then your already getting a deal and making $ if you get it for less then 5k i loose 2-3k and ur making 1-2k :/ but its a risk im willing to take just to sell it and get what els i need for my business theres tools i need without them i cant grow in my business with them i can do more things and make more money,, therefore the longer i have my truck the more money im looseing with jobs i could of picked up and with storage fee's so those are my main reason's for listing it so cheap ive been told ebay is a good place to sell and bad and if i make a resrv price they jack up the ebay fee's so im taking a big risk here, if it only sells for 4,000$ then it is what it is and someone just got a 6k-6500 truck for 4grand and congrats if it goes more then thats great! eitherway if you bid and you get it for 4k or 5k or 6k your getting a heck of a truck if only it was 2008 again i could get 6500 easly on ebay for it! market was so much better back then lol , anyways please message me with any questions i mean anything im an honest person and will not lie or beat around the bush, the title is clean as snow, horn works, headlights work turn signals work all that stuff works, umm lets see oh i forgot its got a flex fan and it has a electric cooling fan with a switch in the cab!! its got a high crank battery, just overall everything was setup so nice, it has brand new seats, there tan thats why i have black seatcovers over them, to match the carpet , it wouldnt take much to make this a show truck ill be willing to give you 15-20 days to come get the truck and pay the rest of the price message me if u have any Q what so ever about anything, On Sep-16-12 at 09:59:26 PDT, seller added the following information: also i forgot to say i have the original rpo factory code list for the truck, as well as the truck has a bed tarp and also have a rubber matt for the bed floor, the truck is a factory scottsdale model trim, but also has all the silverado trim package aswell making it for trim packages, with custom grille, and chrome front bumper and roll pan in the rear which is all 1 peace done by a pro shop not some cheap bondo job like most guys do the rear bumper roll bar pan cost over 1000 for me to get done, lots of money into this truck with nooooo resrv!!!On Sep-20-12 at 15:47:47 PDT, seller added the following information:another thing i love about this truck have you ever owned a car or truck and when you put it in rev to go backwards its so dark and seems like your lights are so dim you dont know where ur going, this truck rev lights are awesome there so bright like your headlights ( almost ) another thing i love about it, also i do not know if i said this or not but yes to answer a q it does have its original dash vin plated that was never taken off or messed with!! never buy a truck without that, this vin plate proves the title and the truck match 100% and to answer another q the tail gate is also custom and it was done right was not cheap, to make it look better the tail gate handle was put on the inside so there is no ugly handle on the out side!! :D all u do is pop the tarp up a few snaps and reach in to open it, it makes it look awhole lot better and keeps your tailgate from rusting out as fast because when you have the handle on the outside water and etc can get inside but not on this truck!
