Offered for sale is a very solid, unrestored, and unmolested example of a 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe with the early style 5-bolt bellhousing 289 V8 engine w/ 4 barrel carburetor and automatic 3 speed transmission. This is a very original black-plate California car with virtually no corrosion. There are no signs of collisions, the frame is straight. It was painted its current color quite some time ago and the paint is scratched and chipped in many places and would benefit from new paint; the original color was honey gold. The car runs and drives well and goes down the road smoothly, and has just completed a 300 mile road trip with no problems whatsoever. Many of the vehicle’s components have been rebuilt or replaced including: rebuilt transmission by Norfolk Transmission in Nebraska, recored/rebuilt radiator, new driveshaft u-joints, driveshaft balanced, new ignition coil, new Pirelli 195/70/R14 tires, new ignition points, ignition condenser, new fuel sending unit (not installed), new front and rear windshield rubber seals (not installed), spark plugs, spark plug wires, new engine mounts, water pump belt, new fuel pump, fuel hoses, new 2.5” steel exhaust system w/ mufflers, oil change w/ filter.
