Vehicle Detail
This is an exceptionally nice 1956 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan at a very reasonable price. It is a really great running car. I would not hesitate to drive it cross-country, in fact I recently completed an 800 mile tour in it without any trouble. This car is solid as a rock (absolutely no rust issues). The engine starts right up, runs smooth and strong.and does not smoke or knock. The automatic transmission is perfect. The front end has recently been rebuilt and the brakes stop straight and true with very little pedal effort required. The Master Guide Power Steering makes this car a joy to drive and to maneuver into tight parking spaces. If you live in the Los Angeles area, I strongly recommend that you come and drive this car to truly appreciate how nice it looks and drives. The paint is extremely nice. The odometer now reads 01566.9 which will be slightly higher when you get this car as I drive it almost everyday. I rate this car an 8 out of 10 due to the items that still need attention: Rechome rear bumper as mentioned, In dash temp gauge does not work (but there is a properly functioning temp gauge below the heater controls), radio is not working, clock is not working, generator light not working, windshield washer bag and hoses are missing. Everything else is working properly, Turn signals work and cancel properly, headlights/taillights and dash lights work properly. The fuel gauge works properly, as does the after market oil pressure gauge. Heater, ventillator and defroster fan all work properly. Also, I have driven this car on the freeway at speeds up to 75 mph and it rides as smooth as glass with no shaking or vibrations of any kind. I have the car for sale locally so it may sell before the auction ends. I strongly recommend you experience this car in person, as I know you will be impressed. I am not a dealer, I restore cars as a hobby, and then drive them until I need money for my next project. Good luck bidding.
