This 1965 Mustang has been rebuilt and is ready for the road or show. Its been almost 2 years in the making, starting with a new engine professionally rebuilt by the respected Baker Brothers of Tucson. Engine is a 302 block with new rods, pistons, cam, rebuilt cobra heads that are running roller cams. Engine, along with the entire car has been driven less than 500 miles. A Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold holds a Fast Fuel 650 carb. To eliminate timing issues a HEI distributor was installed. The interior was changed out to a stunning black & oyster appearance that always impresses crowds. Front seats also had new bottom and back cushions installed. A new dash was installed with the odometer reset to 0 miles. The old one, showing 81,112 miles goes with the car. A important safety feature is installed, a steel plate behind the rear passenger seat to protect you if you get rear ended and the gas tank erupts. Mustangs originally came with a fiberboard divider that often is missing on older cars. Paint is very nice as the pictures show, there are a few flaws but nothing you would see without a very close inspection. I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. We installed new carpet made for the Mustang in the interior & trunk area, which looks great. Glass is good condition with new mirrors. Car has been lowered 1 inch - its called the Shelby drop and not only does it make the car look better but it also improves handling. It can be easily changed back if you desire. 620 # springs hold the front end up along with new shocks. New upper and lower suspensions. Niche rims are a perfect fit and show off the car perfectly. Exhaust is brand new, including headers that are wrapped to lower heat loss. The gas line was also wrapped to avoid vapor lock. A electric fan pulls air through the aluminum radiator, it is further helped by a tuned mechanical fan. This car runs in 110 degree heat with zero problems. It will not vapor lock nor overheat. Included in the auction is a AC compressor and evap unit that can be installed. Car is located in Oro Valley and be seen by appointment. No trades.
