Im selling my 1958 Buick Super 4 door hard top. This is an older restoration (1980's) and was parked in a barn in the mid 1990's due to a shattered brake drum. The car has a very solid frame and the body is in fairly solid shape for being 54 years old. The only known rot is in the spare tire well (very common, see pics) and a small spot on the rear door(see pics). The rockers all seem solid, rear quarters are solid, bottom of trunk solid, some minor surface rust on the back of the trunk and one spot on drivers side rear quarter on the top of the fin. there is a crease on the passenger side front door about 4 inches from the bottom, not very deep. The paint is an older job (possibly laquer) and is faded on the roof and trunk top. I quickly polished the drivers door a little and seemed to come out pretty nice. There are some scratches and chips in the paint. Within the last few months the broken brake drum was fixed, wheel cylinders replaced, brand new coker classic wide white wall tires installed (they have less than 400 miles on them), brand new fuel line, minor rust in floors repaired, new plugs, air cleaner, ect. All the glass is in good shape, no cracks and the windows all roll up and down. This car is 100% complete with no trim pieces missing, If you have ever owned or looked for one of these cars, you know how hard parts can be to find. Seat covers have been installed, door panels need work. The exhaust is in great shape and appears to be stainless steel. There is a small exhaust leak from the passenger side exhaust manifold, I have new gaskets, just have not had time to swap them. There is a couple small leaks. One looks like the where the tourque tube bolts to the trans and the other looks like where it bolts to the rear end. The 364 Nailhead runs great, doesnt smoke or use any oil. I was told it was rebuilt before put away. It does not knock or tick and has plenty of power. The dynaflow transmission shifts great through all gears and doesnt slip. The Buick is currently on the road and runs great and is very smooth. There does seem to be a small vacuum leak when the brakes are pushed as you can hear a faint whistle sound (I havent had time to look). If you're looking for a great driving car that needs minor tinkering, this is a great car for you! This car gets looks and thumbs up wherever it goes! Stand out from the crowd!
