Vehicle Detail
1930 Model A Ford. This car was just brought out of 25 year storage. It was stored in an 85 year old gentleman's attached heated garage. He no longer drives and has not driven this car in many years. I am listing this car for a friend who recently purchased it. His wife, "the boss" wanted a Mini Cooper and they found one yesterday 09-10-2012 and sadly the Ford must go.The car is very solid and he drove it up and down the road with plenty of power and it stops well. He did not drive it far and before doing so it should be checked out due to the long term storage. He told me the lights and horn were non-operational. The car looks to have been restored in the past and while the paint is very presentable it is not perfect. Then rear side door glass on the pass. side has some scratch marks, all of the other glass is good including the optional wing glass. Roof is very nice and the underside is quite clean The interior looks to have been professionally restored with quality materials. This is not a $30,000 trailer queen it is a car you can pile the grand kids in and take them out for ice cream, Take to the local shows or join your local Model A club and go on tour with them. Again with the car just out of recent long term storage, you may want to give it a once over before a long trip. Seller has a minimum reserve on the car as he needs some cash for the Mini Cooper. Car is for sale locally and if the money is right will be sold before the auction ends. If the car does not sell I told him I would take it to Hershey ( Oct 10-13th ) and sell it for what I could get out there. Owner is trying to get his money back. I encourage all bidders to come and take a look at what you are buying or have another set of eyes look for you. You can contact someone in the area that belongs to a Model A club or antique car club and I am sure they would be glad to look for you.Winning bidder needs to have a $500 deposit placed within 48 hours of auction end and balanced paid with-in two weeks. Good luck and make it yours at auctionOn Sep-15-12 at 08:22:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I spoke with the owner and the reserve has been lowered.
