Very clean, classy 1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SL convertible. This has been a California MBZ since being sold new at Mercedes Benz of Santa Barbara, and has ALWAYS resided in California, spending literally its whole life in Santa Barbara until relocated to Northern California a year ago. This is a two-owner SL, with extensive service records. It has never been in an accident, and it has always been a NON SMOKER SL. As a true California car, ir is 100% RUST FREE throughout the whole car, including undercarriage, door sills, body parts, etc. 178K original miles in its indestructible 5.6L engine. Motor runs great, with no hesitation, odd noises, hard-start problems or overheating. It passed the stringent California Smog Emissions inspection with flying colors. Automatic transmission works excellent through all forward and reverse gears. Power disc brakes with Antilock system, ABS, A/C, cruise control, Power windows and Power mirrors.Nice aftermarket CD player; the original factory BECKER Mercedes Benz stereo is in a box, if desired. The body of this SL is in EXCELLENT condition, with ZERO rust, no dents and no accidents. The original Mercedes Benz steel-blue finish still shines beautifully throughout the car. There is a faded spot on the trunklid where the finish has faded, as pictured. It should be simple and fairly inexpensive to have the clear reapplied. The rest of the car is in great shape, as attested by the photographs. The SL still has its original leather upholstery ( NOT Tex-tan), with no rips, tears or seam splits. In addition, the car had a new convertible top installed last year. The top is in excellent shape, with no cuts, rips or tears. The hardtop is also in very good condition. Overall, a nice, clean 560 SL, with average miles, ZERO RUST, no accidents and no issues. It is priced modestly witn a low opening bid and NO RESERVE. CLEAR California title, with current registration thru next month. It runs and drives very well, it is clean and it looks sharp. I am advertising the car locally as well, thus I reserve the right to end the auction early at any time, should a serious offer or a buy-it-now present itself.
