1961 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE - STORAGE SURVIVOR - SHARP WHAT A FUN-ECONOMICAL CAR TO DRIVE - OVER 30 MPG This is a 3 owner car - the original owners purchased (2) NEW 1961 VW Beetles - they drove one in the snow and salt of Minnesota until it rusted away - the one you see for sale here was stored away in the garage and driven occasionally - the odometer shows only 29,400 original miles but can't be documented - the engine has been replaced with a mid 1960's 1300 cc 40 HP 4 cylinder motor - this Beetle handles and fires right up like a new 1961 VW - it has had a matching color repaint in L391 Pastel Blue that shows very well however the beading has been painted over front and rear - new white seat covers with blue piping front and rear - the bucket seat framing has been newly painted with matching new paint on gear shift and emergency brake - it has new 3 piece black rubber floor mats and new oatmeal front carpeting installed - the original oatmeal carpeting behind the rear seat is in very good original condition - the original sunvisors are excellent - the chrome on the dashboard and chrome sunvisor mounts are excellent and as new - is has a black 70's leather wrap around the steering wheel which is in excellent condition and has not been disturbed - the headliner has been replaced in a cloth material - has the original aluminum and oak luggage roof rack (the oak strips have no cracks and could be stained and varnished) - the engine compartment shows very well even though it has not been show prepared - newly re-built rear brakes down to the backing plate - NO engine leaks - includes the original 4 Ply whitewall spare tire - includes the original 1961 88 page Volkswagen Instruction Manual and the original jack and original tools with pouch - the driver under panel has been repaired and the whole underside and wheel wells have a black undercoating - NO rusty under panels or floor boards or fender wells - the frame and brake drums have surface rust but no cancer thru the metal anywhere on the car - new Kelley 15" tires and the original steel rims with hubcaps - the front and rear chrome bumpers show very well with some corrosion on the inside bottom of the rear center section - this is a basic model with no radio and no guages except for a dummy generator and oil light - the inside door panels are like new - all the interior blue paint on the dash and door trim is excellent with no scratches or other blemishes - the heater knob next to the shifter works well - the glass is in extraordinary condition - the vent windows are great and everything works on the car - no sunroof - the front bonnet leaks in water when it rains, probably could use some new weatherstripping to solve that problem - the inside of the car stays dry in the rain - the car is not perfect with some usual cracking to portions of the door weather stripping and some staining to portions of the headliner - private party seller with a clear title CALL ME WITH ANY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS - (479) 273-9939 JERRY
