Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1965 Ford Fairlane. The previous owner had this car for 14 years and I have lots of documentation on it (see photos), as well as a history of work performed on it. The car runs and drives great. I have set a very low reserve. The car only has 96,487 miles. Engine The engine is a 289ci v8, likely original to the car. I have recently replaced the thermostat and a power steering hose that was leaking. The engine has the original gold air cleaner and valve covers. It starts up easily and idles smoothly. It is backed by an automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and quietly. Interior Inside you will find an original interior that is in very good shape. The heater works as it should. The back seat looks like it hasn’t been used and is in excellent condition. All of the gauges function properly. Body The body is in good condition. The paint is in fair condition, it was repainted some time ago. The floor pans, bottom of the doors, trunk pan and front unibody components are all in excellent condition. The paint is bubbling on the inside of the rear wheel wells, but there is no rust-through. The door jambs are also in great condition. Summary This car is ready to be driven. I have an air conditioner unit for the car that is not yet installed. I also have some extra hub caps and new in the box sun visors. I haven’t spent any time cleaning up the car or touching up any spots so the bidders can see the true condition of the car. With a little cleaning up, I’m sure it would look even better.
