Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE You are bidding on a 1999 Saab SE Turbo. This was my wife’s car (she has driven it for almost 5 years now) but I just bought her a new one for our anniversary; this one has to go. As you can see, it is a convertible with a manual transmission as well. She has a few miles on her (a bit less than 141,000) but she has been expertly mechanically maintained. If it broke I had it fixed. She purrs like a kitten, doesn’t drink a drop of oil (I always run her on full synthetic), she can screech rubber going into second gear and she starts up on the first turn of the key. Everything works on her just fine and I have a rebuilt SIDD display installed a few years back (and all pixels work!). She has a newer set of Saab style rims on her with good tires; over 20,000 left on them easily, and a fresh alignment. She has every bell and whistle that came on the top-of-the-line SE (more than I can possibly remember) including fully adjustable front heated seats (with Driver’s and Passenger’s Memory settings), wipers on the head lights (that work!), CD player w/6-CD changer hook up in the trunk and a solid leather interior. The carpet is worn thin in a few areas, but not worn through. The Driver’s seat shows the most wear, but no tears or rips. The paint is still overall very good as is the top. She still looks and drives great for a 15-yr old classic. If you could buy one of these models today it would cost you over $45,000, so for this kind of coin it’s a nice ride. Besides that, it was made under GM’s flag so she is still easy and cheap to get repaired. Here are her rough spots: she has some paint peel on the front bumper from a bump that happen before I bought her [see photo below] and a crinkled right rear fender where my son run up alongside a short cement post a few years back. (I have had estimates to have it fixed and they ranged from $350 to $525, so it’s not that bad; I just never saw the need to fix it). I have a few pixs of that below. The plastic Driver’s side seat adjustment panel has a broken mount so it’s loose in the front but hangs on just fine. You’re not bidding on a worthless, run-down wreck. Check my ratings…I’m not a professional eBay’er but have a solid 100% rating for over 12 years now. Bottom line, she would make a great second car for fun drives to the beaches but handles in the snow like most European sport coupes would be expected to. Being a manual, we typically get 28-30 mpg around town, 32+ on the open road. Come look her over and take her for a spin if you want. On a fully paid car I would consider delivering her within a 50 mile radius of Wilmington, DE. Thanks for looking and email me early with questions or concerns!
