In 1996 Saleen built 193 coupes, 1 of 22 with these options and colors.This is vehicle sequence #203. Saleen took a GT and added Saleen urethane front fascia, side skirts, door fillers, rear fascia, and rear wing. It was given a Racecraft suspension which includes Saleen; variable rate front and rear Springs, front struts and bushings, rear shocks, front sway bar and pivot bushings, 18" five spoke wheels, a front and rear high performance wheel alignment, and a tuned chassis. To improve engine performance, Saleen added Borla mufflers, a performance exhaust system, and gave it a performance calibration. Saleen dash instrument gauges were added to the interior. Have 2 keys for the vehicle. Car is in very nice condition, low miles, all maintenance always done. It turns heads everywhere it goes and sounds like a mustang should. Plenty of power and still very nice street manners. NEEDS: A/C Does NOT work! It has the correct amount of freon, The compressor kicks on when you wire it direct to power, so the clutch & comp. are fine. I have replaced the cycling switch and the low pressure switch. This leads me to believe that either the Multi function relay needs to be replaced or there is a break in the wiring. I didn't dig any further into this as the a/c hasn't worked for 2 years now, but I only drive this thing on nice days when the windows are down, so it hasn't been a priority. Tires are old and will need replacing very soon. I wouldn't hesitate to drive on them, the tread is starting to get low though. There is maybe another 1-2k miles left in them before you could consider them bald. Front bumper has some scrapes and scratches along the bottom edge, pretty common on these things. The paint is pretty nice for being 15 years old, considering Saleen's painting practices in 1996 were not the greatest. There are a few thin spots in the ground effects and typical chips for a 40k mile car. It isn't perfect, but it still looks pretty damn nice. from 5-10 feet you cant see any blemishes. The car has never been repainted.
