Time to sell my 1996 RAV 4 , 4 door , AWD, Automatic.....Its been in the family for the last 8 years. My son was using this recently and I had a local private garage work to resolve or repair ANY ISSUE IT HAD. I HAVE ALL RECEIPTS FOR COMPLETED WORK. My goal was to have it completly realiable and as good as can be. As luck would have it we now got a different car for my son and want to sell the RAV. The RAV has 152,234 miles on it and runs spot on, AC is ice cold , everything works and could be driven any distance without concern. Here is a list of the things I have done in the last 18 months to get it just right........(4) new tires , 215-70-16 on 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6 wheels ( I have stock wheels too ) 1 month old, New f ront Centric brand rotors & pads, new battery ( 2-12 ) , June 2012 Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspection, New timing belt , idler and pullies , new water pump ( while doing the t. belt ) and antifreeze, all engine belts new, replaced exhaust head pipe section ($200 ) Changed the following....trans. fluid, transfer case fluid, rear diff fluid, Detailed the interior , fresh air filter , oil and oil filter ( Purolaror Pure 1 filter) I installed my wifes stock '03 accord EX alloys , because I liked the look better , but have the stock wheels and tires too if you want them. Oil leaks were getting me crazy dripping on the driveway so I had all the possible leak spots replaced......valve cover, cam seals ( front and rear ) , oil pan gasket ( and pan sump cleaned) , front and rear main crank seals , sensor seals and distributer seal....NO MORE LEAKS. The interior is cloth , clean with no rips or tears , carpets too. Interior was detailed As you might see I'm particular about my cars. In this case the next guy will benifit from my my determination. NOW FOR THE BAD...........There are numerious small dings on the car I posted the picture of the worst on the drivers side rear door. I went to PaintLess dent repair ...all are repairable without painting.......Also in the pictures is the lone rust issue , a 6" section on the top of the drivers side rear wheel wheel........In the pictures there is one roof rack section ( I MIGHT have the other section ?) on the car , it is removable and has been removed ...( I'll keep looking ) I can see this car running trouble free for a long time before anything needs to be addressed.
