Hello, you are looking at either a 1968 or 1969 Volkswagen Beetle. The title says originally titled 06/07/68 Not sure if that makes it a 68 or 69 model. It has a 53 on the hood and doors, but I cannot verify it is the one and only Herbie. Here is the story with this car. I have a welding shop and I rent to a guy who junks cars. He picked this car up from a guy who apparently was trying to restore it but never did. Then he was moving west and did not want to move the car with him so he called a junk car guy to salvage it. When I saw it come in on his rollback, I just could not let him crush it. I figured someone could use some parts. Now you know as much about this car as I do. The title is defaced with JUNK JUNK JUNK written all over both sides. Please do not ask me if I know how to obtain a duplicate title or how to contact the previous owner. The answer is no to both questions. Figure this as spare parts for your car. That being said, The motor was out of the car on a skid when it came in. I put my foot on the flywheel and it does "Turn Over". The trunk has what appears to be all or most of the lights and chrome that were removed and put into plastic bags. There are more parts inside the car. The body is mostly straight but does have some rust. You are more then welcome to come and see it. I just figured it would be a shame to send it to the steel mill. I will answer any questions you may have, but to be honest, I have told you everything I pretty much know about the car.
