Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!! This is your chance to buy a classic CLASSIC! How many affordable complete Mustang convertibles are left??? SOLID FRAME AND FLOORS, ROCKERS and TORQUE BOXES ALL REPLACED COMPLETE CAR!!!!! STORED IN BARN FOR LAST 25 YEARS. NEEDS BODY WORK AND IS NOT RUNNING SOLD "AS IS WHERE IS" BID WITH CONFIDENCE History and Condition" I purchased this Mustang in 1985 from a guy in Carlile Pa. I was a young man at the time. That is no longer true! I have owned the car since that time (27 years) It needed work and I had a Restoration shop (Coventry Oaks Restoration) replace the rockers, the floor pans and the torque boxes. I bought a blue mustang for parts and had the fenders, doors and hood swapped. I also had the engine completely rebuilt by the same shop. The top was also replaced and power top made operational. This car was licensed and inspected at that time (1987). I drove the car until I rear ended a stop and turn driver and I drove the car into my Dads barn where it sat until this year. It had antifreeze in cooling system and we poured oil in the cylinders. He is renovating his barn and I lost my indoor parking. I don't have the money, time or the skill in body work to restore this car. That's where you come it. This is a solid car to restore if you are good with body work. The body is in bad shape from accident damage, rust, pitting, etc. A partial repair of the quarter panel had been done prior to my purchase but this was not a proper repair. It was riveted and not welded. The quarters will have to be done. But the undercarriage is sold and it is all there. The only parts that are known to be missing (THAT I CAN SEE, IN GOOD FAITH) are the interior door handle/arm rests and the aluminum exterior trim along the rockers. I am sure that there are other little things that I can't see or have overlooked. Please look carefully at the PICTURES or ask questions. Additionally, the engine was rebuilt in 1986 and was not driven. I am not sure if it will run and I haven't even tried. But it all there and together. It was running when I parked it. The interior was never redone but the rear seat look to be in excellent shape, the dash is NOT cracked at all, decent shape. The front seat backs look good but the seat front covers are split and torn. The top was new and sustained some damage which is shown in the pictures. A three inch tear and some wear in the back but repairable in my estimation. The gauges and controls are there and operated an passed inspection in 1987. The steering wheel "horn" insert and a few door or window handles are not attached but are there. Other controls and interior parts including the power top are all there. The rug is shot but the door panels and rear panels including the ashtrays are there. Please look at all pictures. The muffler and exhaust look very solid. The muffler has NO RUST on it. As I said, the floor pans, rockers, and torque boxes were redone by a professional restoration shop. This guy worked for Mid-County Mustang for years and had opened his own shop off rt 100. This was done right. Of course the tires, battery, brakes, etc are no good. One rotor is locked and we couldn't break it loose by rolling it. The glass is all good. The boot is there with some small holes in it. I have the keys for ignition and trunk. The car is sitting in Boyertown, off rt 100 right near rt 562 and second st. It will need to be towed. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES FOR ACTUAL CONDITION. THIS DESCRIPTION IS MADE IN GOOD FAITH. THE CAR IS SOLD "AS IS" Part of me hates to see it go....but it's going.
