Vehicle Detail

This is a 1972 Buick Sun Coupe. I purchased this car around 10years ago with the hopes of having it restored. Two kids and many bills later I haven’t been able to come up with the funds to have it done and I have no time to work on it thus the reason I’m selling. I usually use the car to drive to car shows, take the kids to school, or out for a Sunday drive. It’s generally a solid car. The previous owner stated the rear quarters were replaced and that he believed the floor pan was replaced. At that time he had it painted blue from its original color of orange/red. The body is in good shape with the exception of the doors which had some filler that seems to be breaking at the doors near the edge as shown in the pictures. There is a light scratch running across the length of the trunk that could possibly be buffed out. Headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and dash lights work. One of the tail light lens is cracked as shown in the picture. The bumpers are whole but could use a re-chroming. The interior seats are in good shape. The driver’s interior door panel is not too bad but the bottom of the passenger’s door panel is ripped as shown in the picture. Sport wheel. The window trim was taken off and I was going to replace it but when I recently moved I can’t find where it I put it. Most of the rubber around the doors and windows could use replacing as in the roof rail picture. AM/FM/CD radio. It has 75462 miles, 350 2bbl with full length headers and a new 3” dual exhaust which sounds awesome. Runs very good. The trans and torque converter were replaced a few years after I purchased the car and had a performance shift kit and new flywheel installed. Power steering and drum brakes on all wheels with the drums painted to match the car. The control arm bushings, front springs, ball joints, tie rods, etc we’re all replaced. I believe all the shocks were replaced at that time as well but not 100% sure. The tires probably have 5k-10k life left on them. Fronts are better than the rears; obviously. The power convertible top was replaced by previous owner and is in very good condition with the exception of an approximate 1 inch cut on the driver’s side as shown in the pictures which I was told could be repaired easily. The convertible top power unit needs an ounce or so of fluid every few years. I was told it has a slow leak at one of the seals but not worth replacing at this point. There is a boot cover that goes over the top when it’s down which is in good shape except that it is original and discolored but not enough to where you wouldn’t put it on. Buyer will also receive the car cover I keep on it when not driving. I tried to give as much info as I know. Feel free to ask me questions and I’ll do my best to get you an answer and additional pictures if requested.
