This is an awesome looking fastback and great driving 1948 Buick I am a avid Buick club member and collector, now making room for earlier prewar Buick's.This is a great driver car, The running gear has been kept stock but many repairs for reliability. Starts easy and no oil smoke, no overheating, steers and stops well. Radial white wall tires from Diamondback ClassicsRadiator re cored Generator rebuiltClutch replacedNew brakes and cylinders all the way around Transmission rebuiltResent tune up and fluidsBattery just replacedElectric fuel pump (for fast starts-even after sitting for weeks)Dual exhaust with glass-packs by slitting main pipeRadio has i-pod / cd player input and plays thru stock radio Seat belts front and back seat The car is lowered aout 2-3 inches and still has travel for a smooth ride. There was and adjustable rear track bar to keep the suspention geomitry in place and well as new rear springs. The car wears an older repaint that has many small blemishes the can be seen up close but still looks stunning. The interior is fabulous with a complete Hampton coach kit on seats, headliner and door panels. At this same time the dash was wood grained and looks good. Most all of the outside chrome has been re-plated including bumpers and the rare window visors. The visors seem to make the cars roof lower, as many people think it has a chopped roof. I have used it for a daily driver for a couple of months including freeway trips, it will go 75, but happier at 55-60. The car starts well and auto choke works great. The car has new Diamond back Classic radial white wall tires and tight steering. Very solid body, spot of rust found on passenger side door post to floor, common on these bodies. Have had the car on the hoist and it looks solid underneath. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. All light works including signals and reverse lights. The car is fun to drive and has been dependable, it gets so much attention. People will be taking picture while your driving or coming out of the store.
