I was out driving this BEAUTY today taking the pictures and I felt like I was driving a brand new 1977 VW Bug Convertible !! We just purchased this car from the second owner who lives in Washington state and we then brought it here to Boise, Idaho. She has owned this car since 1984 and as you can clearly see in the pictures this was her pride and joy. She just had her Volkswagon mechanic look the car over before she sold it and he gave it a good clean bill of health. He told her it was ready to drive anywhere !! It was bought new in Washington and has spent its whole life there. She kept telling us how she only drove the car on nice days in the summer and stored it the rest of the time in her climate controlled garage. This car is not your average old VW Bug Convertible that is worn out with a new paint job. First of all it only has 91,933 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES since brand new. The second owner spent right at $15,000.00 on this car at a professional restoration shop completly painting the car and that included taking all the trim, lights, emblems, doors and fenders off the car and doing it right including new black trim between the fenders and body, brand new body side moldings and brand new German running boards. Also most of the interior was redone with new Black upholstery, new padding on the seats, new door panels, new center console, new black carpeting, new black headliner etc... New high quality Black canvas convertible top and a new matching Black canvas convertible top boot. All of the original rubber weatherstripping was removed and replaced with new weatherstripping as were most of the light and reflector lenses !! It just goes on and on with the thousands of dollars and many hours of professional work done on this car !! I believe it is a nice value at the price we have it listed at considering all the time and money spent on this BEAUTY ! Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape ? What a find! The Bug enthusiast should be pleased to own this BEAUTY. This is a Karmann convertible which they tell me means it was built in Germany and is the one to have and it comes with its ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL shown in a picture below. I drove this BEAUTY as my every-day driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drive well. I drove it to the office the other morning with the top down and can see why these cars are so loved by their owners, TO FUN !! It also does well on the freeway at highway speeds and still retains its fuel injection system which is correct for this year. They tell me the 77, 78 and 79 Bugs were the best all around driving of all the years of the first generation Bugs and they are the ones to have !! If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this car for yourself you won't be disapointed. This is by far the nicest Volkswagon Bug Convertible that we ever had in our 22 year history, UNBELEIVABLE !! It still retains its smooth - ORIGINAL - 96.6 CID (1584CC) Fuel Injected VW four cylinder motor in it and it is running VERY WELL indeed. The previous owner informed us that the motor was rebuilt some years back but not alot of miles have been put on the car since the rebuild. I could tell in talking with her she really loved this car and it shows in the condition of it. It also has a smooth four speed manual gearbox which also functions well. The White exterior basecoat / clearcoat paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing and is bright, shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the pictures. The high quality Black Canvas convertible top is nearly new and in GREAT condition and I noticed when I took the pictures how easy it was for one person to put it up and down. The Black vinyl interior is NEW and looks BEAUTIFUL including VERY NICE - NEW Black front bucket seats with headrests, VERY NICE - NEW matching aftermarket center console, VERY NICE - New Black fold down rear bench seat, VERY NICE Black carpeting, VERY NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel, VERY NICE - NEW matching Black door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL GAUGE CLUSTER, VERY NICE - NEW BLACK headliner, VERY NICE - NEW Black sunvisors and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL dash with NO CRACKS. In my opinion your not going to find a much nicer INTERIOR than the one in this car, UNBELIEVABLE !! This Bug Convertible is nicely equipped including an upgraded braking system, Pioneer AM FM stereo / cassette tape player, NEW - Dual chrome exterior mirrors, factory rear window defroster for the Glass rear window, reclining front seats, New front windshield, good heater and defroster and retractable shoulder belts. This is a HIGH QUALITY car that drives very well and is nice and tight. It is a really COOL little vehicle. Very Nice Original VW steel wheels with VERY NICE original chrome VW hucaps with nearly new steel belted radial tires, boy does this combination look outstanding on this BEAUTY and really retains that clean factory look !! All of the exterior chrome and stainlees is in NICE condition including the chrome front and rear bumpers, even the front and rear rubber bumper guards are NICE !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington state - Idaho high mountain desert - Western car for its whole life and it shows !! I don't think your going to find a much nicer ORIGINAL steel pan than the one that is on this car !! This is a nice Classic collector Convertible and it has plenty of good looks to boot ! This little 1977 Volkswagen "Karmann" Beetle Convertible is a real find ! I was out driving this BEAUTY today taking the pictures and I felt like I was driving a brand new 1977 VW Bug Convertible !! We just purchased this car from the second owner who lives in Washington state and we then brought it here to Boise, Idaho. She has owned this car since 1984 and as you can clearly see in the pictures this was her pride and joy. She just had her Volkswagon mechanic look the car over before she sold it and he gave it a good clean bill of health. He told her it was ready to drive anywhere !! It was bought new in Washington and has spent its whole life there. She kept telling us how she only drove the car on nice days in the summer and stored it the rest of the time in her climate controlled garage. This car is not your average old VW Bug Convertible that is worn out with a new paint job. First of all it only has 91,933 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES since brand new. The second owner spent right at $15,000.00 on this car at a professional restoration shop completly painting the car and that included taking all the trim, lights, emblems, doors and fenders off the car and doing it right including new black trim between the fenders and body, brand new body side moldings and brand new German running boards. Also most of the interior was redone with new Black upholstery, new padding on the seats, new door panels, new center console, new black carpeting, new black headliner etc... New high quality Black canvas convertible top and a new matching Black canvas convertible top boot. All of the original rubber weatherstripping was removed and replaced with new weatherstripping as were most of the light and reflector lenses !! It just goes on and on with the thousands of dollars and many hours of professional work done on this car !! I believe it is a nice value at the price we have it listed at considering all the time and money spent on this BEAUTY ! Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape ? What a find! The Bug enthusiast should be pleased to own this BEAUTY. This is a Karmann convertible which they tell me means it was built in Germany and is the one to have and it comes with its ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL shown in a picture below. I drove this BEAUTY as my every-day driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drive well. I drove it to the office the other morning with the top down and can see why these cars are so loved by their owners, TO FUN !! It also does well on the freeway at highway speeds and still retains its fuel injection system which is correct for this year. They tell me the 77, 78 and 79 Bugs were the best all around driving of all the years of the first generation Bugs and they are the ones to have !! It still retains its smooth - ORIGINAL - 96.6 CID (1584CC) Fuel Injected VW four cylinder motor in it and it is running VERY WELL indeed. The previous owner informed us that the motor was rebuilt some years back but not alot of miles have been put on the car since the rebuild. I could tell in talking with her she really loved this car and it shows in the condition of it. It also has a smooth four speed manual gearbox which also functions well. The White exterior basecoat / clearcoat paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing and is bright, shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the pictures. The high quality Black Canvas convertible top is nearly new and in GREAT condition and I noticed when I took the pictures how easy it was for one person to put it up and down. The Black vinyl interior is NEW and looks BEAUTIFUL including VERY NICE - NEW Black front bucket seats with headrests, VERY NICE - NEW matching aftermarket center console, VERY NICE - New Black fold down rear bench seat, VERY NICE Black carpeting, VERY NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel, VERY NICE - NEW matching Black door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL GAUGE CLUSTER, VERY NICE - NEW BLACK headliner, VERY NICE - NEW Black sunvisors and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL dash with NO CRACKS. In my opinion your not going to find a much nicer INTERIOR than the one in this car, UNBELIEVABLE !! This Bug Convertible is nicely equipped including an upgraded braking system, Pioneer AM FM stereo / cassette tape player, NEW - Dual chrome exterior mirrors, factory rear window defroster for the Glass rear window, reclining front seats, New front windshield, good heater and defroster and retractable shoulder belts. This is a HIGH QUALITY car that drives very well and is nice and tight. It is a really COOL little vehicle. This vehicle can be had for quite a bit less than what it is worth all for the need of a quick sale. We prefer a bank to bank wire transfer of funds as payment for the car but we will also accept a bank cashiers check (US only) or a third party check but we will validate the checks authenticity and the funds must clear our account before the vehicle or the title to the vehicle is released to the buyer or the buyers agent.
