2000 Nissan Maxima GLE 4-Door. Non-smoker car.This is a great city car and I hate to part with it, but my new job required me to get a new car. Car has 165509 miles on it. It has been garaged the last 4 years and I worked from home the last 5 years so it has had relatively low mileage the last few years.The check engine light is on, and I have taken it to 3 different mechanics for opinions since this tends to be an issue with these cars. The engine is fine and the coils and plugs were replaced about 30,000 miles ago. The reason for the light is that there is a broken wire or wires in the engine wire harness. This is a VERY common issue with these Nissans as they get older. A new engine wire harness can be purchased or a good mechanic can make wire repairs pretty easily. I was about to have it done at Nortown Automotive on North Ave, but then I got this new job. The mechanic there is very familiar with the process and charges decent prices. This is not a coil or engine issue.The tires and brakes and rotors were replaced at 132,000 miles so they still have a lot of life left. The tie rods were replaced 2 months ago and the car has had bearings replaced less than 50,000 miles ago. Transmission was checked and flushed at 146,000 as was the power steering and fuel injection. I have put a lot of money into this car the last 3 years as it runs great, has a ton of comfort and is in great shape otherwise.There is some scratching on front and rear bumpers per the pictures. No major rust on the body or exterior. The rocker panel has a slight dent on one side. Wheels are in good shape and clean. The interior is very clean with brand new carpets. The only minor issue in the interior is that the back drivers side-door window is stuck closed. It may need a new motor.This car has not been in any accidents, but has city wear and tear for a 12 year old car. Nothing that will alter the driving experience. Once the wire harness is repaired, this car will easily last another 75,000 miles. The mechanics who have looked it over and at the work I have put into it agree. I hate to get rid of it. It has 222 horsepower and still gets 23 MPG!Sunroof, leather, great radio with CD changer. AC blows cold!I am the second owner and bought the car under warranty with 30,000 miles in 2002. It has been maintained immaculately.
