The Maverick was at its peak of performance in 1971 and 1972. With the introduction of the Pinto, the Maverick's mission changed. Instead of fighting with the imports, it now was a sporty, inexpensive (both in price and insurance rates) muscle car.The Grabber hood was only in its second year, but its last as well. their where only 35,347 grabbers made. their where no more grabber after 1972. it started from 1971-1972 that was it.not many of the grabbers with a v-8 so its only getting rare.the maverick for sale is a v-8 302 engine,c-4 trans and a 9in rear all that was rebuilt less then 6,000 miles.ALL MATCHING #'S .runs very great, brakes great, no problems at all. this car can run for ever.the mav will need a little body work its has some bubbling going on. and i have a brand new headliner,two oringanal doors in great shape no rust,and two door panels and a drives side rear panel it has surface rust but that will clean up easy if clean it.i have a $200 battery in it all msd in it.the maverick has new tires ans SS rims. the mav has undercoating mades it look really good, it have the origanal spare tire in the trunk. its a really fast car and super fun to drive and to see the looks on peoples faces when they see the maverick its pricless. everyone has a story to tell about it when they where kids or that was my first car.the interior is in great shape and very comfortable to sit in. the dash has no cracks, there is a very nice pro-matic 2 shifter. it shifts perfect no problems. when you open the driver side door there is a quarter size rust hole a small patch will take care of that.these cars are only getting more rare and here is you chance to own a TRUE GrABBER. any questions let me know ill answer them. its cash in hand. thanks for looking!
