JL Freed Honda Presents: 2006 Honda Civic Si Custom “Civic Duty” Concept Tuner Car In 2006, JL Freed Honda set out to create a themed custom concept tuner car, and six months later the Civic Duty was born. The award winning Civic Duty was a joint venture creation between JL Freed Honda and Bob and Ron’s World Wide Stereo. It features a combination of genuine Honda accessories, custom body sculpting and professionally installed, state of the art electronics. Exterior Design Showcasing a “Heavy Duty” rock ‘n roll look, the Civic Duty features a two tone custom premier paint system highlighted with hand painted barbed wire pinstripes, hand painted accents and a holographic carbon fiber hood. The headlights were treated with a custom DuPont painted treatment to give them a darker, more daring appearance. Actual barbed wire was incorporated into many different areas of the car including the front air intake port and hood vents to further emphasize its rugged, hard core look. Honda’s top of the line 18” High Performance wheels were added to the vehicle and paired with a set of low profile Dunlop SP Sport 21540ZR18 FM901 high performance tires. The front brakes were upgraded with a set of six piston Brombo brakes and rotors. Civic Duty also features a rear wing spoiler, genuine Honda side spoiler and custom front air dam. The most noticeable features are the pair of vertical-lift lambo-scissor doors. Heads will turn when you pull into a parking and lift the doors to exit the vehicle…. not to mention giving it just a wicked cool look. These eye-catchers were professionally installed by our own JL Freed Body Shop. Interior Design The rear seats were removed to make room for a massive 32” LCD HD flat-screen display television coupled with a high-end Hitachi 1080p up-scaling DVD player . Multiple JL Audio Amplifiers are on display at the base to power its 1950 watt Boston Acoustic sound system. These features are highlighted with red luminous accents in a custom designed, high quality combination fiberglass and clear plexiglass finish. The standard Honda radio was a replaced with an Apple Mac Mini low profile computer with audio/video playback capability that is displayed on a dash mounted 10” Xenarc monitor. This is coupled with an AutoNet mobile system that provides internet access while on the go when coupled with a Bluetooth phone. The sound system is a Boston acoustic system that delivers a total of 1950 watts…. Yes 1950 watts! Custom speaker covers were added to the vehicle to provide a show ready appearance. The audio/video systems can be powered either using the onboard system on an AC adapter with its combination Stinger power system or Vector A/C adapter located in the rear trunk. Condition: With just over 1200 miles, this vehicle is like new and was never driven except to take on shows. To prepare it for resale, the vehicle was returned to World Wide Stereo to ensure all of the electronics were fully functional and in excellent condition. It was then checked over with a fine toothed comb in our award winning service department.
