Vehicle Detail
This is a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 250C in Completely original condition. This Excellent running and driving Mercedes-Benz has just 158,000 original miles. Driven an average of less than 3,800 miles per year for the last 42 years. Runs absolutely flawlessly. Drives tight with no squeaks or rattles. Has a few small dings and the paint is chipped in a few spots. Original blue leather interior is in amazing condition with zero tears or wear spots. Dash wood is in very good condition, as is the glass. Absolutely no rust. Power Steering, Brakes and Windows. Air Conditioning. Foot Pump windshield washer. Original Becker Europa AM/FM Radio works great. Nice Michelin Tires. Regularly-maintained/serviced vehicle through the only two shops it has ever been to, which are both Mercedes Specialist shops in the Portland, Oregon area. This car has been garage-kept since new and has lead a very pampered life. It is currently licensed and registered in Oregon, but the custom plates do not come with the vehicle. Issues: A/C blows cool, but not what I would consider cold. Gas Guage works most of the time, but sometimes gets stuck on empty when there is actually plenty of fuel. If you tap on the glass, it will usually pop-up to correct level. Rear window motor on driver's side does not work, but I have purchased a replacement that comes with the car. One fog light and dome light do not work. Carpet has one wear spot on drivers side near the door sill. One knob is missing from the radio. That is ALL of the issues this car has. If something is not listed here, assume that it works. Buyer is responsible for picking up vehicle, (Fly-in, Drive-home) or I will deliver it anywhere in the lower 48 United States for a reasonable fee. Please feel free to ask any and all questions you may have regarding this vehicle prior to bidding. I will be happy to respond. Thank you for looking. On Aug-20-12 at 11:31:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have taken photos os the entire undercarriage of this car because a watcher was concerned about frame rust issues that are common to these vehicles. I cannot upload any addition photos, but if anyone would like to see the photos, you can contact me and I will get them to you. The only area I see on the unibody where there is anything that even would be categorized as rust is a very small area on each side of the bottom of the radiator where two to three inches of paint has peeled off and there is light surface rust, but no pitting or rot on the metal itself. The entire floor pan area and structure is absolutely rust-free, the bolts don't even have a hint of rust on them. In the trunk, under the rubber mat, it appears as if it had started to have some surface rust, but somebody cleaned and treated it before it got bad. The underside of the trunk is absolutely rust free, so it appears as if this was just an area where moisture was trapped beneath the rubber trunk mat. That is the most accurate information I can give regarding the chassis, except to say that the underside of this car is very solid and sound. Feel free to contact me if you would like to see the photos. Thank you.
