Up for auction is a very nice solid, strong driving, 912. Very little rust if any is evident though it appears the pans have been replaced. Car has been very well resprayed at some point in it's original color 8602 Polo Red. Engine s/n is 747773, 5 speed transmission 1080614. This is the strongest running 912 I've ever driven. The reason? Jerry McCarthy, Porsche factory trained mechanic, did the fine tuning. Car runs, stops, steers properly. 15" Fuchs with very little if any curb rash, newer tires, this car wants to be driven. Both doors "ting" on closing. The negatives. Fuel door cap opens by hand not by the knob, hood needs new shocks, throw out bearing can groan on occassion. It only needs to be greased. What this car really needs is a detailing and assorted easy to find and affordable trinket parts.
