Vehicle Detail

This is a great old car that has been restored in 1991 and taken well care of since. I bought the car from a local guy who bought it from the person who restored it. I have had it for about two years and now I must sell it. Times are a bit tough. This is an excellent driver and not a show car but not far from it. I drive it on the weekends and parades. The odometer reads 64400 but I have no idea if that is accurate, but I know I have put about 400 miles on it. Exterior : The body is in excellent shape with no rust or dents. There is a very slight dimple in the hood on the passenger side. Noticeable only if you are looking for it. Otherwise the body looks great. The chrome is all very good except the luggage rack which in fair. The leather covered truck looks like it has never been used. All the glass is excellent and all windows and doors work perfectly. This car will turn heads with those orange wire wheels. Interior: The interior is excellent. It is Labaron and Bonney and was done in 1991. It shows no wear and is very comfortable. The side and rear curtains work fine. Floor carpets excellent. headliner excellent. The car really looks new inside, and nearly as good outside. Mechanics: Transmission shifts fine the engine was rebuilt 100 miles ago at a cost of over $5000 with receipts. It was rebuilt by Antique Engine Rebuilders in Skokie Ill. I believe it is the original engine, but now it has modern technology inside. It has a high compression head and a modern crankshaft. It has modern construction of the engine bearings. The result is a beautifully running engine with about 20% more power. The battery was new last year. The wheels are all as they should be and the tires show no wear. This car runs very quietly and smooth. It is a pleasure to drive and although not a highway car by todays standards, I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. I stay off the highway but the car would do 50 to 55 all day without a strain. For me its 30 to 45 on back roads. The engine is of course newly painted and while it was out of the car I had the fire wall done. Functionality: All gauges work all windows, doors and the hood work as intended. The car has directionals. Wipers work but I have never driven in in the rain or at night. All lights work but of course not very bright by todays standards. A previous owner had 4 yellow shocks installed ( see photos) which probably accounts for an unusually smooth ride for a Model A. This is about as nice as it gets in this price range. I have 23,000 into this car, but I have to sell it. Call me if you have any questions. Come by for a ride or send someone to do it for you. You will not be dissapointed.
