Up for auction is my 1949 Buick Super Series 50 Sedan with the original running 248 inline Buick "Fireball"8 with original 89,000 miles paired with sliding 3speed manual column shift,enclosed drive shaft,lever action shocks,4 wheel coil springs.I will accurately describe the overall physical and mechanical condition of this vehicle to the best of my abilities.The old girl has been sitting on and off for a few years, but it wouldnt take very much to get her back on the road.She'll need new tires,battery and fuel tank(original rusted out).The last time I started her up over a year ago,she cranked over and ran well.The trans shifted nice and smoothly and she wanted to get up and go.I performed a full tuneup three years ago,replacing plugs,wires,points,condensor,rotor,cap and coil.Battery cables were replaced,carb was professionally rebuilt and I reinstalled with new intake,carb and exhaust gaskets.She has developed the typical surface rust issues associated with a car this old with a couple of minor pop throughs in lower panels.Otherwise,body and floors are solid.Windows are all intact and in good shape except for a tiny chip in drivers side windshield and a cracked door window.Trim is 95% intact and in decent to good shape.Interior is in decent shape but intact headliner will need replacing due to discoloration.I will gladly answer Any and all questions prior to bidding.I have over 20 years experience with these cars,so dont hesitate to chew my ear about specifics.Remember,this is an "AS IS" auction and the low reserve will reflect that .Allthough this old girl isn't perfect,she's well worth it.I will post a few pictures to get the auction started with many more to follow,so check back periodically.
