Condition: Excellent condition; very well taken care of. Primary reason for selling is that my wife and I also have a 2010 Forester that she drives, but I ride my bike everywhere. Aside from day trips on the weekends, the car sits in our driveway and it would be better if someone was driving it. NEW TRANSMISSION: At 42,274 miles, we had the transmission replaced by Wentworth Subaru in Portland, OR. The reason for the replacement is that the original transmission was damaged during a routine oil change. Wentworth and the person changing the oil covered the repairs and provided a brand new transmission at this point. The transmission work has a lifetime warranty by Wentworth Subaru and we would be more than happy to provide this documentation. The service date was 6/3/2009. The total cost (value) of the new transmission was $3,436.69. To put this in perspective, the new transmission (one of the most expensive pieces of a car) has only 21K miles on it. TIRES: New tires were purchased at 42,274 miles, too. All around, this car has been treated excellently and very well-maintained. Note: Car is not washed/vacuumed for pictures- so this is exactly how it will look on any given day in your garage/driveway.
