2001 Mercury Sable GS Wagon 4-Door 3.0L Blue Great Condition Low Miles This is Truly a Great Car. Very Versitile. Good Gas Mileage. Very Reliable. All Parts Working. No Damage. A well handling car with high safety ratings. I drive it alone back-and-forth to work and many times have the whole family with several small children and infant seats and have a very easy time loading everyone and easily installing the infant seats. The rear of the car provides for easy storage - carring work files, groceries, little league equipment and, occasionally, five or six little league players. The children love to sit in the rearfacing third row seat. It is fully equipted with safety belts for three, including shoulder harnesses. All vehicle systems and items are in good working order. There is no damage aside from the occasional minor door ding or small scrape, though nothing noticeable with casual inspection. All major components are in good working order - engine, transmission, air conditioning brakes and heat all work very well and as designed. Engine runs smoothly, transmission shifts properly, air conditioner blows very cold and has no leaks (as a precautionary measure, installed new compressor and all related items before summer began). Tires have at least 90% wear remaining. All suspension parts feel fine and were in good working order on last inspection or were replaced. Alignment is good and tires are rotated twice per year. Vehicle is serviced regularly with suggested maintenance at same local shop I have used for a decade. I would drive this car anyplace and expect it will continue to provide good service for another 100,000 miles or more. Car, engine and transmission have a good track record and have proven very reliable as well-made and a good design. My son and I recently took a overnight trip of 400 miles and car, as usual, was perfect for trips of this type - comfortable, reliable and not expensive to operate. I would not have a second's concern about loading the whole family in this car and driving any place in the country. Service is easy to obtain and parts are available from many different sources.
