Vehicle Detail
This is a "No Reserve" auction and will sell to the highest bidder. History of the vehicle: I purchased this Ford in 1996 when I was still in high school. I completely stripped the vehicle and within six months had the rolling frame and power train completed. The body parts where sent to an auto body shop. Unfortunately, the shop sat on my vehicle for four years. Finally, disgusted I picked up my parts and hauled them back to my family business. At that point I lost interest and the project has been sitting here uncompleted ever since. I am cleaning out my building and decided it is time to part ways. I am hoping this goes to a good home and will one day be fully restored. Frame: The chassis is powder coated gloss black. The wheels are powder coated midnight blue. They are smoothies, purchased from CW Moss in Orange, CA. The tires are Kelly's, they are as wide as I could fit without rubbing the fenders. Chisholm suspension fabricated lowered front springs and blocks to lower the rear. The rear was gone through and gasket replaced. The gas tank was cleaned, sealed and coated. The frame is in good shape, just a little shop worn from sitting. Power Train: This is a 1953, “Last of the Flatheads.” The block was is perfect condition before being rebuilt by Service Motor Parts, in Montebello, CA. Everything was redone with standard bore/sizing. All internal parts were replaced new from Egge Machine in Santa Fe Springs, CA. I purchased brand new Offenhouser aluminum heads, intake and other chrome parts from Flathead Jack in Florida. As you can see the engine shows very nicely. The Fordomatic transmission was rebuilt by Jerry's Transmission in Norwalk, CA. The drive line was balanced by Driveline Service in Whittier, CA. The radiator was re-cored by Atlas Radiator in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Body: Originally this came as a Ranch Wagon, but I also purchased an identical Sedan Delivery body. The only difference being no side glass. I did this because I intended on advertising my company logos on the side panels. There are now two sets of doors, fenders and hood to choose from. Chisholm suspension dipped and primed the body parts. However, this is where the restoration stopped and the body work was never started. Interior/Exterior: I have all the original parts needed to complete the restoration. Dashboard, steering wheel, bumpers, seats, etc. I invite anyone interested to please come inspect the vehicle. I can be contacted to schedule or with any questions at 714-801-8223 (Jeramy). I will supply all receipts I can gather to the new owner. I know there is about $8000 invested into this project. I have a signed title from the previous owner that I can hand over. I never titled the vehicle in my name because it was not completed. Best of Luck!
