Vehicle Detail
1965 FORD F100 CUSTOM CAB 90K ORIGINAL Rust free 352 Cruise-O-Matic AZ truck Incredibly straight and rust free Ford F100 Custom Cab. Originally an automatic with 352 truck, now has 4 speed with V8. This truck is in 100% original paint besides wheels and bumpers. No accidents, no previous repairs, bondo etc. The Cab and the bed are 99.99% rust free with only some minor pitting in front floors and bed. Bed is really straight, no rust in corners. There is only one dent in the bed, tailgate is straight. Really straight body, various small scratches and small dents but as rust free as they come. Working ODO shows 90k and this in a “A Box” Arizona title, original mileage truck. Truck saw very easy use and only about 2K miles a year average. It has not been registered since 07 but the truck runs, drives and stops. Originally sold new in Casa Grande Arizona and has spent most of its life in Tucson AZ. Really easy restoration All glass is good, 2 small chips to original windshield, no cracks. Passenger window is off the track but is all there with no cracks. Dash is really nice, uncut in original paint. There are 2 extra screw holes where a CB was mounted but other that that the dash is in great shape, no modifications. Cardboard glove box liner is still in good shape. Body is in great, original condition, the only modifications are an extra hole in the bed rail/bed where there was once an extra gas tank mounted. Original trim around front windshield in good condition, original seals are dried up. The truck still has the original, automatic steering column. The steering wheel is cracked but restorable. The horn ring is in good shape with good chrome. The exterior trim is in great shaped with only 2 small dents on both sides. Front hood is fading and has surface rust on faded areas but is superficial only, hood is in original paint. Original grill is in good shape, the truck is not missing any trim. Its missing one interior door handle, I have the other one which is not pictured. No headliner. Comes with white metal toolbox that goes between the bedrails, not pictured. The engine sounds really good, starts right up with no smoke and idles well. Has recent water pump, alternator and the hoses look good. Belt is a little noisy sometimes and should probably be replaced. I think this was an AC equipped truck, it has the 2 holes where the lines would pass from the engine compartment to the cab. Oil bath air cleaner, engine has pulley for AC. I’m not sure if it is the 352 since the tranny has been swapped, if there is an easy way please let me know. Front end is tight with no play in steering wheel and goes down the road straight, no surprises. Gas tank is clean on inside, no rust issues. Has 5 original wheels, missing 2 hubcaps. I only have the key to the iginition so the doors don’t lock right now but all parts are present. This truck is not far from being a daily driver. All tires hold air but one is an old spare that is cracked. The brakes are mushy but all work, they should all be bled at the minimum. Tranny shifts well, emergency brake works. The only part of electrical system that doesn’t work is the emergency flashers and the heater since there is no blower motor currently. Headlights turn signals and brake lights all work. The oil light and battery light work both work as they should. Alternator/ Charging system works. Working gas gauge and speedometer. The horn needs the plastic insulator in between the horn ring and steering wheel but the original horn does worked when jumped. Lots more pics available here - http://s1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa463/westwerkes/65ford/ Overall, a super solid original Ford truck that would make for a very easy restoration or with a little work, a nice daily driver. Unmolested, dry Arizona body. Truck is located in Tucson, AZ and is available to see. Willing to ship anywhere but is responsibility of buyer to arrange and pay for shipping from ZIP 85704.
