I am selling this 1947 1-ton Dodge Dually 9' bed PickupTruck with 16” wheels for a friend. This vehicle is being sold as an antique with a bill of sale which will allow the owner to acquire a title. This truck was rescued from a farm lot in southwestern Kansas where it had sat for several years after retirement from duty as a tank wagon. This truck was bought from the original owner who emphasized that it had spent it’s entire life as a work truck and had seldom if ever been driven on the highway. The motor does run and seems solid for its years. Inner fenders are smooth and are surprisingly rust free for its age. There are no rust-throughs noted except where water tank was leaking in bed. The previous owner indicated that the indicated mileage was correct because it had never been driven on the highway. His contention is further supported by the fact that the windows crank, windshield hinges operate, door latches/hinges do not have excessive wear and the body mounts are surprisingly solid and intact.
