Vehicle Detail

It has become that time to focus on other projects... I love this car, but I need to focus my time and money on my 1964 Plymouth. I bought this car over two years ago to be a driver while I restored my Fury. I purchased the car pretty much as-is, except I changed a few suspension components to make it a bit friendlier to drive. The car has a later model 318 that has been fully gone through with new connecting rods and pistons (.030 over with 10:1 compression), and a reconditioned crank. It has 360 hp heads and 4 bbl intake, with a mopar performance cam. The car runs GREAT, and I have probably put 15,000+ miles on it since I bought it. The push button transmission has been completely overhauled and has a light shift kit. It runs through the gears exceptionally smooth and crisp. It has a 1965 style rear end (with brake drums held on by the wheel studs, rather than a keyway and large central nut). The wheels are 6-hole police car wheels with dog-dish hub cabs. I have driven this car on several long road trips, and have never had a single issue with it, other than being caught in the rain. The windshield wipers do not work; I haven't investigated too deeply but I assume it has something to do with a couple of wires hanging off the back of the wiper switch. The fuel gauge and temp gauge also do not work, and the speedo works erratically sometimes. The car is definitely in need of a restoration to be "great," but I have more than enjoyed driving it as it is. The seats need recovered and the interior could use work, but the door panels are new "super stock" style units. The body is in good shape, and has held its current state the entire time I've owned it. It has a little rust under the back window, and a little is popping up on a couple of the doors, but it has all stayed fairly stagnant. I haven't allowed the car to get wet very often, which I'm sure has helped. The floor pans have been replaced in the past. The truck floor is still very solid, but has some rust. Overall, this car is a GREAT driver, or also a great starting point for an easy restoration. I have had and would have no concerns with driving it anywhere!
