Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is my 1966 Plymouth Barracuda 2dr hardtop. I am offering it with no reserve, so come and steal it from me before I come to my senses. High bidder drives it home! The original 273 has been replaced with a rebuilt 360. It is mated to a 727 automatic tranny with shift kit and a Ford 9" posi rear. Rear gear ratio is 355 Cruises along the highway at 70 at low RPM's. There are only a few hundred miles at most on the new drivetrain. Power steering, manual drum brakes. New Edelbrock 4bbl carb. The car has headers and a complete new exhaust system. MSD box and distributor. Body and frame are both rust free. 55K original miles. Mint interior. Everything works. The only shortcomings are that the foam in the front seats is starting to disintigrate, and the mag wheels are starting to show their age and either need professional polishing or replacement. I'll throw in whatever spare parts I find laying around the house. If you're local, I suggest coming to take it for a ride. No disappointments! I'm only selling this because I have too many toys and not enough time to enjoy them. Look at my feedback. I've always tried to represent anything I've sold honestly and accurately. On Jul-29-12 at 18:47:56 PDT, seller added the following information:In response to questions being asked about the engine, here's some info I got from the notes taken by the machine shop that rebuilt it. "360 bored .30 over, new pistons, Comp Cams High Energy cam, 410 lift, new valves, comp. valve job, 9:1 compression ratio (pump gas), approx 300+ HP (never dyno'd)". Someone had dropped off the motor to be rebuilt with the intent to put into a hot rod. They never went to pick it up, and that's how I got it. It was built to high standards and built to last. The horsepower is only an approximation based upon the rebuilders experience and the materials and parts used to rebuild it. This is NOT a motor that came from a junker or a high volume national rebuilding chain. I'm sure there's more to tell about it, but that's all I know.
