Vehicle Detail
Very nice, clean 1984 Mustang GT Convertible. All original in and out. The fuel injected 5.0 Liter V-8 runs very well. No issues or noises. The previous owner had a shift kit installed and the car shifts very well. An original Kansas car with absolutely NO rust. The paint shines nicely. The top is original and in fairly good condition with minor flaws. The glass rear window is fine. The front seats have split seams and will need repair or, most likely, recovering. The door panels and rear seat are fine. The dash has had upgraded speakers added and is presently covered by a removable dash cover. Dash guages all work properly. Car has good oil pressure and maintains proper coolant temperature. Power accessories all work including the cruise control, radio and cassette player. All glass is good. Tires are like new. The A/C has been converted to R-134a and has no leaks. It blows cool. It needs a part replaced that has some blockage (can't remember the name) which will cost about $250.00 to blow cold. It has a custom fabricated dual exhaust system with flowmaster type mufflers and no cats which is fairly new. It sounds good. Not loud at all. The car is too fast for me (I'm 70) and I found a Toyota Celica Convertible which fills my needs for a convertible. I have the owners manuals and 4 different shop manuals. I believe the car is honestly represented and priced fairly. But as a 28 year old car must be sold "as is" with no guarantee or warantee expressed or implied. The $500.00 non-refundable deposit must be in the form of a US Postal Service Money Order postmarked not later than 2 days after auction close. Balance due in cash when car is picked up. Must be picked up not later than 7 days after auction close. Will assist with shipping if desired. If car is grossley misrepresented, your deposit will be fully refunded. On Jul-07-12 at 08:54:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added a few pictures and this supportive information which I forgot to include. The area at the bottom of the quarter panel behind the rear wheel has chips of paint removed by contact from road debris. As you can clearly see, there is not ANY suface rust. The paint has been abraded down to the gray primer only. A photo of the left front fender behind the wheel is included for comparison. There is no similar damage at these points. My plans were to have the lower part of the sides of the car repainted below the belt line trim. If I did the majority of the preparation block sanding, a local body shop said tnat they would charge me $150 to compete the preparation and color match spray both sides/ I've also included photos of the four corners of both bumpers to show there is NO abrasion caused by contact with other cars or fixed objects. I do not want to misrepresent the condition of the car. Lastly, my mechanic informed me that both rocker covers were leaking slightly. he said that it was nothing to worry about. I see and occasional drip of oil on the garage floor. There has not been a need to add oil.
