Folks what we have here is an extremely solid and rustfree 64 Tempest. First, this car is a 3 owner car that was sold new in Greer, South Carolina by Duncan Pontiac . The in service date of this car is Feb. 8 1964. All this information as well as the original Pontiac Idento plate is found in the owner protection booklet that came with the car from new. As you will be able to see in the pictures this car is incredibly solid, my lightest refrigerator magnet will stick anywhere and I mean anywhere it is placed. It is a bare bones manual everything car that would be the perfect candidate for a GTO clone or to fix that rusty original GTO. This car also drives and runs very well, the mileage is correct, just a mere 60,000 on the clock. The car was painted 1 time and it was done in the late 80s.According to previous owner it was painted because original paint was sun faded severly, no previous damage is apparent so therefore I found no reason to doubt him. The car went from South Carolina where the second owner purchased it, to Georgia his home state in 1981, where it remained garage kept until I purchased it almost a year ago. This car has not seen rain in several decades and I truthfully doubt it has ever seen snow or ice. My reserve is fair for this cars condition. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with this cars condition. There are a couple of imperfections, such as the rear bumper has some chrome coming off and has some minor damage( see pics) the gas fill door trim is a little bent up (see pics) interior seems to be original some of the weatherstrip is showing its age, new door weatherstrip is included with the car.
