For sale: 1998 Toyota Camry in good used condition. VEHICLE RUNS BUT NEEDS TRANSMISSION REPAIR. My father bought this Camry new and gave it to me seven years ago. The car has been well-maintained and I have all the records. I had planned to take it to 300,000 miles but when the transmission started to go bad four weeks ago I decided to sell it instead because I have another vehicle I can use. The car has never been in an accident. There is no body damage except the expected door dings and a small, L-shaped dent in the front bumper which should be visible in the pictures. The interior needs to be vacuumed but is in good used condition with no rips or tears. I love this car and hate to see it go but I don't need two and I don't know how to repair a transmission myself. New parts include: May 2012: Front brake pads; rear breaks cleaned and adjusted February 2012: New power steering pump, belt and fluid; new alternator and a/c belts December 2011: New thermostat, gasket, antifreeze transfusion, radiator hoses and clamps September 2011: New rear sway bar bushings May 2010: New timing belt and drive belts; freon charged and coolant system checked for leaks November 2009: New washer pump hose; new left front wheel hub and tie rod; new serpentine belt September 2009: New radiator July 2009: New windshield This high-mileage vehicle has been owned by two people (my father bought it new and gave it to me seven years ago) and well-maintained. I had planned to take it to 300,000 miles. Four weeks ago the transmission went bad. It runs, but you can tell the transmission is failing, and needs to be repaired. I have another vehicle to use and have decided to sell this one.
