Welcome and thank you for visiting my auction today. This is my second time listing my E30, the first time was in mid June, that was removed by EBay, because they felt I violated their rules by adding other car brands (Mercedes, Audi and Porsche) under the auction title (I was only appealing to other car enthusiasts like my self, that would appreciate this BMW). They cancelled my auction 28 minutes prior of ending where it had reached $14,700 with 268 watchers and 3925 visitors. I am sorry for those who had placed a bid, and I apologize for taking this long to repost as I traveled over seas 4 days later, and could not commit to show the car or deliver it to a potential buyer if I had listed the car again. You are dealing with a BMW and Mercedes car enthusiast that enjoy collecting and working on these types of vehicles, and have been an EBay member since 2001 with a perfect score of 100%, so rest assure that you are dealing with a responsible and serious person. Please read all the information listed on this auction, as I took my time in writing this listing to be very accurate in my description of my car. You are looking at a 1991 BMW E30 Convertible. This is an amazing car, and in my opinion the most beautiful convertible for its era, and hopefully BMW will bring back this model to production soon. The car: The Ultimate Driving Experience 1991 BMW 318I Cabriolet “Lagunengrün metallig” ( rare color with a new high end repaint in original color about 5 months ago with rubbers removed) with factory tan SPORT interior package (RARE), brand new black manual convertible top with tinted rear plastic window imported from Germany, 5 speeds transmission, sport seats in immaculate condition, power windows, door locks, mirrors. There are no signs of accidents (all VIN stickers are presents on the body panels and also verified by Carfax), NO rust/rots or abuse on this beautiful E30. I would rate the body of the car a strong 9.75 out of 10 with one or two minor surface scratches that is hardly noticeable. The interior is near flawless with no rips or tears in the seats, carpet or panels. This is a Southern car all its life, always garaged and owned by a non smoker. S52 (3.2L) motor and 5spd transmission from a 1999 M3 with less than 60,000 miles (VIN number of the donor car is available to check accuracy of the mileage upon request to serious bidders), converted to OBD1. New valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, front and rear main seals, oil filter housing gasket, sparkplugs, low temp thermostat, new clutch, belts, radiator, cold air intake, and much more that I can’t remember. 3:27 rear diff. M3 door sills. Super-sprint muffler. 5 lugs swap consisting of M3 front lower control arms, spindles, front/rear brakes, Bilstein struts and H&R springs. E36 M3 DS2 style wheels with newer tires (about 60 to 70% tread remaining). Upgraded front and rear bumpers, lower front valence and fog lamps, with IS front lip spoiler, and IS rear spoiler. The dash is free of any cracks and looks great (see picture). All 4 brake calipers are painted Ferrari red with “Brembo” stickers (looks awesome). French Yellow headlights, European front license and the black bra adds a young and aggressive look that satisfies my middle life crisis (as my wife puts it). The car dose not has AC. Some of the stock E30 AC components are still installed in the car, and I believe you will need an AC compressor and bracket for the S52 engine, dryer and some custom AC lines made, for it to be functional again (all of these items are available here on Ebay for less than $250 under parts and accessories). This was not a priority for me, as I only take this car out on beautiful days/evenings. The tan sport interior is in brand new condition, with no major flaws (beside a couple of cracks no tears on the top end of the rear seats and very hard to notice, and I was planning to add the rear head rest anyways). The floor mats are brand new and original to the E30 (even have the pins to hold them down). The M shifter knob is also brand new (see pictures). I have also replaced the factory stereo with a Sony cd/Ipod/sat/cd/usb deck, replaced all the factory speakers, and if you are into the Rolling Stones, Andrea Bocelli, or any other music, you will be enjoying every second of your ride in this classic convertible. This E30 cabriolet is very fast, extremely fun to drive, and ready to be enjoyed by the next buyer, as it is a turn key car. The style, design and history behind these BMW E30 will remain a classic for ever, and I will not hesitate to drive this Bimmer across the country period, and I promise you that the first person to come and see my convertible will buy her on the spot. Some Extra items that are NOT part of this auction but can be negotiated with the potential buyer as a package deal with the purchase of this E30 are as follow: 1) The very rare Hard Top in mint condition (a great addition, which changes the look of this car, and can be used in the winter months, and YES the rear defroster is in working condition). 2) 2 rear headrests that will give this E30 convertible a sportier look (available with all the hardware necessary for installation). 3) A set of aftermarket HID headlights. 4) A wind screen in a “brand new condition”. 5) Also available is a second set of a DS2 E36 M3 wheels (you can install a second set of snow tires and enjoy this car with the hardtop in the winter to go skiing). This E30 have been meticulously serviced at East Coast Exotics (a BMW specialist) in Yorktown, VA and had only Mobil Synthetic oil. The odometer does not accumulate mileage, but all other gages are all in working condition (not an issue as any car over 10 years is sold as “Mileage exempt”). I have some extra pictures available for any interested party, a clear and clean title on hand, a Carfax report that shows NO accident history, with a Buy back garanteed (see pictures), and 2 keys for the next owner. The only reason why I am selling this E30, is that I will be accepting an opportunity over seas that starts in late January 2013. Prior to my purchase of this vehicle, I used to own an E30 convertible with a 5 speeds tranny (a 1992 Bmw 325IC to be exact that I sold to a gentlemen here on EBay), and when I went to research to upgrade my car with a 1999 S52 engine, I received quotes from 3 different shops, one in NC, VA and MA that specialize in this type of work ( the lowest was about $14K, and the highest was about $16K for parts and labor), and that just included, engine, transmission, 5 lugs conversion, brake upgrades and suspensions. It did NOT included the car it self, nor the convertible top, or the re-paint, the exhaust upgrade, wheels and tires and the new stereo with speakers, and other little items. To reproduce an E30 like mine, you will probably be in the vicinity of $26K, so $15K is not a bad deal.Please do a thorough research and get back to me with a reasonable offer, but if $7K is your budget, I will strongly suggest to look for an AUTOMATIC E30 as they probably go for that, and leave this car alone for the real BMW E30 enthusiasts. Now, my own words on driving this car:a complete mind blowing experience, you feel you own the road especially with the top down and the Rolling Stones on, moving between lines on the highway down shifting the 5 speeds transmission is just a blast.....I hope this answers your question.Thank you for your interest, and God bless you. - sarahsfolly
