For Sale is my meticulously maintained 1988 FORD MUSTANG SSP. This Vehicle is equipped with a 5.0 High-OutPut V8 and a Automatic transmission. This vehicle was exclusively produced for Government and Police Agencies across the U.S. In limited numbers. What made these Government vehicles rare was their distinctive "Special Service Package" which came factory installed for Government purposes only. The vehicle came with Aeronautical Grade Silicone cooling hoses (blue, look in engine bay picture) , higher capacity Fuel tank for less fueling while patrolling, Re-enforced suspension, easy-access trunk release button, higher mile reading speedometer and a list of many other factory Government-only upgrades. Other upgrades for the Police Mustang that are installed in this 1988 SSP are Heavy Duty Push-Bumper, working Spot-light, Amber/Red Arrow-stick (for directing traffic, also fully working and functional full spare-tire and various antennas for police radio use. This is a true Collectors Car and NOT your average 5.0 'Stang. The interior of the vehicle is in complete and clean condition with no tears or rips on any seats, new headliner and Arrow-stick Control-Unit professionally installed under driver's Console. This Mustang has 193,000 miles and is not a high Mileage car since these vehicles were designed for the highway and daily driving of the U.S. Government Agencies. While in my possession i have had the transmission rebuilt professionally by a Transmission shop that Services vehicles for the El Paso County Sherrif's Dept. All basic services and tune-ups have been performed by a Certified Ford Mechanic here in El Paso, Tx. Again.... this is a clean-throughout car and a true piece of History of the U.S. Government.
